I owe someone a sundae.

One of my friends was really nervous about applying to a college. She really wanted to get in and I was certain she would. She got an 800 on her Reading SAT and is one of the best writers I've known. But she kept stressing out, so I eventually made her a deal. If she got in, she owed me a sundae and if she didn't, I'd buy her one. I wasn't too worried about losing the bet, she's essentially a female me down to SAT scores, grades, abilities etc. And everyone's always telling me how I shouldn't have a problem. Well... I get home, turn on my monitor and I see the message "You owe me a sunade" and I know that my "Black Tuesday" just got a little bit blacker.

On that note, my school has an organization that during holidays such as halloween, christmas and valentines day will send a note and candy to somebody else for a dollar. So, I got six today! More than anyone else in my English class. The sad part is I sent out 16. And of the six I received, I'd only sent messages to three of them. So, now I feel guilty about not sending even more.

And I just realized I need to create a powerpoint about Quakers. Fun.

Hey Shadows!

We used to always do the candy gram things too, at both my Grade school and my High School. My 8th grade year I decided to send everyone in the class one. But I think that was the only year I ever managed to send one to everyone who sent me one. Invariably I'd get some from people I hadn't sent to and send to several who I didn't get one from. So don't feel guilty it was awesome of you to send out 16 of them! I'm sure the other 3 people understand. Besides when it comes down to it it's the giving that counts not the getting.

Sorry to hear about your friend not getting accepted into her school of choice; I hope she finds a school she's even happier attending.

All the best and take care,

Kevin
