My First - And Perhaps Last - Blog

How to write a blog? I've no idea, since this is my first try. I've looked at a few blogs written by other GA members, and I don't think I could come up with anything remotely resembling the interesting, funny or cool entries of other people.
In any case I don't have much to say, and I certainly don't expect anyone to pay a lot of attention. Except my GA friends who're kind, supportive and wonderful. You know who you are. ;)

My main reason for creating a blog and making an entry is to compile a list of the reviews I've written for the site blog Featured Story. This will make it easier for me to find them, mainly when I want to enjoy reading the nice comments they got. Apart from having the chance to draw attention to stories I admire, one of the best things about writing reviews is the feedback. I'm grateful for every single reply and like I got for those story reviews.

I can recommend writing reviews for the blog, and Renee Stevens is always happy to receive them. I suggest reading her description of How to before you take the plunge.

thanks, tim - although I've been here since October 2015, but I haven't been very active, only adding links to my blog reviews now and then. Don't expect me to do any other kinds of blogging, as I haven't got much of interest to say.

I've transferred rewritten versions of my blog reviews to the Complete stories. A list of my story reviews can be found via my activity feed. Nice feature. :great:

Yes, not that many yet - only one page.

Don't confuse them with comments (the reviews in the old version) - that list is 272 pages long ! :o

Which, of course, is what I did ...  *sighs* Still, I imagine you've produced more than anyone else. How you manage it, is a mystery. ;)

No, @Lisa heads the prolific reviewers list, far ahead of me. But I'm a proud number 2.

Jeez, how did I miss this blog, Tim???? I apologize!

I ALWAYS look forward to reading your reviews because they are so insightful, funny, and right on the mark. :) (Well, your chapter comments as well as your story reviews for Renee's blog; that's what I was actually talking about.)

I have to go back to your list of stories you reviewed and read the ones I haven't.

As for the prolific reviewers, I'm still at the head of that list? I haven't even looked at it in a while! Wait, you're number two? Shit, I better start reviewing more, err, commenting more! Can't have you catching up to me, Tim! :gikkle:

Not to worry, Lisa, I've hidden it quite well. But I knew you'd find it when I tagged your name. ;) It's a great new feature here. Are you sure there's any of those stories you haven't read and commented on?

We've made each other laugh a few times, haven't we? Especially on jwolf's Corbin story. I wish he'd post more chapters.

I don't think the PR list is available right now, but yeah you're ahead by a HUGE margin. 2K or so, if I recall correctly. So no need to panic. But I'm sure authors will welcome your efforts.

Omg, I was thinking of Jon the other day. Where the hell is he??? Corbin and Co. could have graduated, gotten their master's, PhD's, and become CEOs by now!!! :lmao: Oh, I know why I was thinking about him: I was reading comments on some news article, and some guy was from Old Dominion, which naturally got me thinking about Corbs.

Whew! So glad I don't have to worry about being out-commented by anyone!!! Hehe

This is a great list you have put together, because it is difficult to find good stories and I always like to choose by reading a synopsis and a review. Your list led me to a fantastic story, the first one, Judas Tree. I doubt I would have read it were it not for your review, and what I would have missed, a truly wonderful piece of writing. If only there were more reviews to lead us to more great stories. Thank you so much for this ☺

I'm really happy to hear that, William, I'm sure @AC Benus will be thrilled with the awesome story review you left on Judas Tree.

If you go to one of the Featured Story blog reviews and click on the tag 'story review' you get eight pages of reviews recommending stories. Once you're done with my suggestions, you can see what other people like.

Haha... that will take a while! I'm reading the second one on your list and it's another great recommendation, I'm very much enjoying it. Shame the author only ever wrote the one story and disappeared around two years ago. What I really like about your list, so far, is that the stories are different and I'm a sucker for real life stories - vampires and werewolves I'll leave for the young ones! ?

Loved your story review for Misunderstandings. Yeah, it's a shame he's never written anything else. Beware of the two unfinished stories (The English Year and Prophylaxis), as you may get frustrated when you're left hanging. :(

I skipped The English Year because it wasn't finished and I'm not sure it will be, at least not anytime soon. I always check when the last update was and if the author is around - you know, the last time they logged in. I would have read it otherwise, because it looks interesting.

I skipped the Meta story because, like I already said, I'm not a fan of werewolves and vampires, although a lot of people are, and that also looks good.

Makes sense and you can always save it for later, if jwolf returns. Meta is definitely an acquired taste, and same for Prophylaxis. But all the rest should be right up your alley. I can't tell you how happy I am you liked Judas Tree. I hope you've also read the sequels. They get better for every one.

William, I definitely agree with Tim; you have to read the rest of the stories in AC's series. And while you're at it, if you have time, check out Dignity and its sequel Destiny. Two more wonderful stories from AC. :)

Someday, I hope Jon finishes The English Year, because it's a great story. If you want to read completed stories by him, definitely check them out. He's an awesome writer. You won't be sorry. :) (I'm not a fan of vampires, werewolves, etc., either, so you won't find any of those stories in his writings.)

Well, it's probably the least werewolf/vampire focused GA story of those which do feature the supernatural. It's simply a way to transcend the B&B love stories into a higher state of consciousness and beauty.

Tim, that's so beautifully put! I did read just one chapter of the story, and it was very interesting. I think it was a few chapters into the story. Maybe I need to give this story another go...

You're welcome, my friend. And I finally managed to get my Secret Admirer reviews transferred to @aditus and your stories. I was pleased you both noticed them at once, and thank you for the message on my profile.
