August Signature Author Feature: On the Grass by AC Benus
This story so evokes feelings of nostalgia, even though my age is not close to those of the story, but that's just how good the word craft is. This vignette, a peek into a life that was lived though a different lens, should not be missed!
Length: 9,880
Description: An itinerant photographer stops by the one town he’s avoided for the last twenty years. What is it he hopes to encounter there? What is this ‘one last thing’ he feels he has to do?
A Reader Said: If you like historical fiction, do yourself a favor and give this substantial short story a read. AC does a great job with the 'feel' and dialect of the time period, and the result is satisfying. Cheers! ~ Headstall
