The Prompt Team - myself, @Cole Matthews, and @Aditus thought it would be fun to have an event highlighting GA prompts.  Participants will have their prompt responses featured in the December 5th prompt blog.

To participate:

PM one of the Prompt Team members.  We will assign you a random prompt from our prompt bank.  Prompt responses may be any length, but if they are below 1,000 words, then they must be part of a collection.  If they are 1,000 words or more, then they may be posted as a stand-alone piece.  Responses must follow site guidelines.  Once the story is written, PM me with the link to the story or chapter (if part of a collection) by midnight EST on December 3rd, and I will include in the December 5th blog. 

***Do not publish your story/chapter or set the date/time of publishing.  I will set the publish date when I create the blog.  

I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with!

That's how I found out about this mini-event. :D I've been away from GA for a bit and am just now checking back in. He showed me a little bit of what he's working on. So far, no Santas have met an ill end...

I tripped over the wire and fell backwards 😝Acute lumbago followed by a heavy cold has left me whacked.  Can’t wait to read the stories.

WHAT? But I was so looking forward to reading yours!! 😱 Maybe you can save what you had planned for another event? Or just post it whenever you finish anyway!! Then, let me know so I can read.

OMG @wildone, if @Lee Wilson had a 700k + story by itself I would weep for an entire day and it would take me months to years to finish reading (oh sh*t, did I just admit I've been secretly reading his work without commenting? Lemme go hide.)

I meant all the other stories I read but haven't commented on yet. Just give me a bit. I just caught up on my work and have a little time. 😉

No worries. And I just checked, there are actually 5 stories on the site that are longer than all of mine put together. Three are over a million words. That's a minimum 4,000-page book if it were published on paper.

Have a go at doing your take on “Circumnavigation”!! I think you’d do us proud 🥹 it’s still a great story after the years pass.

I've had some authors send me the files to their stories instead of a link.  Sorry if the instructions weren't clear.  I guess we're too close to the Secret Author contest lol  Please upload your story or chapter of a collection to stories, then send me the link.  There's no anonymity here, so there's no need for me to do it for you. I hope that clears things up!

So sadly, my muse left the house when I got a cold. He told me he wasn't coming back until I was better. Today is the first real day of better but haven't found the bastard :( 

I'd say I might get back to it and since it is Christmas themed, I might get inspired to finish it off at a later date. 

Got to figure out how to lower the body count 0:)

I got 8k words into my prompt. It is more February themed, so maybe I'll get it out before then. No promises. :D Being late to the party and having to prep for and plan a major holiday got me bogged down on time towards the end.
