What are the reaction icons and what effect do they have on GA members?

What do reactions do?

GA reactions allow members to share a quick response to content on the site with one click.

Positive reactions increase member reputations by 1 point except for select forums or clubs which are excluded.

Positive reactions on Stories content help new authors move out of the moderation queue.

How do I use them?

To react to content on GA, hover over the gray thumbs up in the lower right corner of the post, story description, chapter, or chapter comment, etc... then click on the reaction that best suits the content and your response to it.

Meaning behind the icons:

The general intent behind each of the reactions available on posts made on the GA Forums or in GA Stories:

  5. Sad (+1) - person was saddened by the content.  We made this positive because most times people use this reaction it is support the poster of the content
  6. Angry (+1) - Person was upset by the content or the person posting the content.
  7. Check it Out! (+1) - You've read it and think others should too
