I'M FREE

 

 

SEAMS LIKE FOREVER AGO NOW, BUT IT WAS ONLY SIX YEARS. I LEFT HIGH SCHOOL, BUT BEFORE I DID I CAME OUT. AFTER I CAME OUT I STILL KEPT GETING CALLED THE SAME OLD REMARKS FROM PROPLE WHO DIDN'T EVEN KNOW MY NAME, I WAS KNOWN AS ''AIDS F----R'' OR ''THAT QUEER FROM THE OTHER YEAR''. I GOT USE TO / LEARNED TO COPE WITH IT, I DIDN'T EVER LET THEM SEE ME DOWN. ( Or at least thats what i think.)

 

A FRIEND AS CLOSE AS ONE CAN BE, SAW WHAT WAS HAPPING AND REPORTED THE THREAT FOR ME. I WAS AS ANGRY AS HELL THAT HE DID THAT, BUT I LOVED HIM FOR IT ALL THE SAME. IF ONLY HE COULD KNOW HOW I FILL ABOUT HIM, AND THE OTHER STORYS I COULD TELL. THAT WAS THE DAYS WHEN FRIENDS WERE FRIENDS FOREVER. FIRST LOVE ( Ha now thats a bitter sweet story ) THAT DAY SCHOOL ENDED EARLY FOR US, A LIFT FROM ONE OF THE TEACHERS TO THE METRO. THERE WAS SUPPORT AT LAST!.

 

IT DIDNT HAPPAN OVER NITE, BUT I REALISED I NEED NOT BE SCARED. SOON PEOPLE STARTED TO UNDERSTAND ME. WE SLOWY GOT SOMEWHERE,THE TEACHERS DID GET THROUGH IN THE END. ASKING THOUSE WHO SAID THE REMARKS HOW WOULD LIKE IT IN MY PLACE? (In fact one of them was.) NOW THEY ALL KNOW WHO I AM, BUT I'M STILL A PERSON.

Wow, I'm glad you found help when you needed it (even if it was forced on you at first) I think it's sad that there are so many people out there who could use that kind of help and are either too afraid to ask for it or don't know where to find it.

 

But I totally agree, ask for help when you need it, you just might be surprised at who comes through for you at the end, even if a little good advice is all you're offered.
