[Jack Scribe] DESERT FANTASIES

Recommended Posts

Vince Jr. in military school for 2 years. :D Yes, I like that. :2thumbs: Mind you, it would have been nice to have Cray do a little kung fu on Vince's head. :P

So, a hot dude named Michael who's also into Tai Chi. A romance in the making??? I guess Henry's history at this point.

I'm still waiting for the other shoe to drop. I thought it might have been Vince Jr, but that's handled.

Ok, so I'm already thinking sequel starring Mario, with a little bit of Spike thrown in. :great:

Great chapter, Jack! :worship:

I don't think Henry is history just yet. I half expect to see him make one more appearance around Christmas break to visit. Micheal might turn out to be just Cray's Tai Chi partner, some one to give Gray a good workout.

Then again, I've got a 50/50 chance of being correct so time will tell.

50/50. Not bad odds, Jan. :P I'll just say that we'll get to know a little more about Michael in the next chapter.

Connor, you can bank your money that Vince, Jr. will not reappear. As far as Henry's concerned, we'll see what happens around Christmas. 0:)

B) ............Great new chapter Jack!! I like how its being neatly woven togeather, It's too much of a coincidence that Michael and Clay are testing each other out in the Sauna for Michael not be at least curious if not gay. I will look forward to the next chapter! Now for the groan, "Do you have any idea why they call this gym the Agassi Sport? Is that the old guy who used to play tennis?" Yeah old! what is he 39? But as you pointed out, a native Vegan who does a lot of charity in his hometown.

I don't think Jack has posted that chapter here yet  .

But I will have a few questions when everyone else gets a chance to read it though.

I thought I spotted a spoiler there last night. I saw that post and thought I'd missed the announcement and looking for the chapter, but it wasn't there.

Joe should get Chapter 11 up today. Here's the portion of what "clairvoyant" Benji referred:

I must admit I was having some fun with two 16-year-old guys thinking of Andre Agassi as an "old guy". 0:) This isn't exactly a spoiler...but Cray is interested in developing a friendship with Michael. This is part of a scene where they're going to the gym for a workout.

Jack B)

I have a friend who kept calling me the old man. I was ten years older than him. One day he called me that and I chased him all over camp grounds just to show him how old I was. I caught his a$$ too. He never called me that again.

Good chapter Jack. I think Micheal will be shocked when he finds out that Bob and Drew becomes Cray's dad's.

I think that Cray is putting too much wishful thinking into the steam room scene. After all, we're talking about two sixteen-year-olds with very active hormones. The massages could be innocent enough to cause them problems.

Then there's also the possibility that Micheal is in the closet, but very straight acting. He could have made the connection between Bob and Drew and is cool with it. It's still early in this friendship to tell much about him, but at the very least, I would say the Cray will have a good friend in Michael.

At the very least, Jan. 0:) Even in the 21st century, closets still exist for many of all ages.

I'm pretty sure that Judge Woods mentioned at the beginning of the 11th chapter is Tim's father/mother. Jack really chose his words well and revealed nothing about Judge's gender. (In stories like this, I don't believe in chance two characters sharing a surname and not being related.)

Goodness, you have offered a couple different, terrific story lines I hadn't considered. The truth is you caught this author with his pants on backwards. Tim is a nice guy and minor character...nothing more. I must have been having a brain fart when I selected the name "Woods" for the judge. Tim and the judge are not related. I apologize for inadvertently tossing in this diversion. :(

Now we know about Micheal. At least he's no longer in the closet to Cray, or to himself.

Jack, I think you set us up a little on this one. Cray's suggestion for Spike to think about retiring from the Escort service. Then you bring in the one person that Spike could/would retire for.

Great chapter by the way.

Here's Chapter 12: http://jackscribe.gayauthors.org/desert/Chapter12.php.

I'm just an old romantic softy - with homage to Barbara Cartland 0:) but not the tiara and pink gowns. I will say that all the characters are in place to get on with the story. :P

Just caught up with this.. Things are getting interesting, and Cray is sure getting some "exercise" :D

I've noticed several references to the mafia... I suspect that is a major theme.

I also see sparks, and not the good kind, when Henry and Michael meet. :)

Thanks JAck!!

As the title suggests, this is a desert fantasy. But on the other hand... 0:) You be the judge.

Jack

B) ......But, there is no mob mafia in Vegas anymore, its just a myth  Frankly, I was surprised that Micheal hasn't figured out Cray's unusal living arrangements.

There may or may not be a Mafia to day by this specific name. They could be going by some modern and up to date name. And since this is supposed to a fantasy, it could hold elements of the past and present, and maybe even the future.

Right now, Micheal only knows what Cray has told him. So as far as Micheal know right now, Cray lives there with his mother since that his cover story. However, in the near future, he's going to have to come clean about his living arrangements. Micheal may be a little hurt when he first finds out, but once he hears the full story, I think he will understand.

That was quite a reality check for Cray. I think he's really going to try and talk Spike out of it, but as I said after the last chapter, I don't think he will have to try too hard. I don't think he will be able to talk Mario out of quiting, he's in too deep.

Thanks for the comment about Cray letting Michael find out the "real scoop" down the road. I'm not sure I've handled that as well as I should in a future chapter.

Cray is twisting Spike's arm to get out of the escort biz and things might work out in that department. :P However, you are right...Mario's a lifer.

But this then brings up a bigger question about Cray. Yes, Mario is in deep and for life. But are Bob and Drew just in as deep as Mario? They may be executives on the legitamite side of the family business, but does that mean that they are still not involved.

I accepted earlier on that Cray was destined to be involved with the mob and it seems to be proving right. Really all the characters so far, with the exception of Ben, have been associated in one way or another. Even though Cray wants Spike out of the escort business, he wants him to be with Lou in a big way. I'm sure that Cray is not totally oblivious to what is going on.

If he is clueless, maybe it is time for Drew, Bob, and Mario fill him in on what he is getting into.

Cray isn't clueless...but he is only aware of the escort business. He has fallen into an environment that - at this point - only takes care of his basic needs...very nicely. You got to understand that he is just 16 and, apart from earlier tramas, is successfully approaching a more adult understanding of his environment.

Drew is a high level executive in the hotel operations and aware of the business origins of the corporation. However, he's running a legitimate enterprise. Bob is a middle-level manager and isn't really knowledgeable about what's up.

My little devious point in the story is that things aren't always what they seem. Stay tuned for the 12/12/07 installment.

I very much like the way you've made the Firm. the Cosa Nostra, or the Business (Whatever the term is these days, for MAfia") very evident, without directly saying so.

I like the "things are not always what they seem" approach, too.

Cray is very worried about Spike... The question is, does he have reason to be?

The concern continues in a conversation Spike has with Cray in Chapter 14 (to be posted tomorrow, December 12-look for it in my forum). Cray, however, is worried about his friend being in a risky business. The teen doesn't understand the depth of what he's observing.
