Chapter 14 is up. MikeL beat me to the punch. :D Enjoy and add some feedback.

Jack, I enjoyed this chapter, especially Cray and Spike's conversation. They have a good relationship and a healthy concern for one another's welfare. Cray continues to widen his circle of friends and is getting closer to Michael. I'm ready for the next installment.

That was a good conversation between Spike and Cray. And there's nothing wrong with a little brotherly hug every now and then either. Although I think I would have had some fun it was me, after all some playful grabbing of the backside could be fun.

I was glad to see the Mario was somewhat agreeable and changed his mind. And I agree, they should keep it very low key for awhile.

I'm not too sure about Glenn at this time. I just can't trust him at the moment. Who know, besides Jack, that he could be playing it cool for know and the goomba's are just waiting for a good opportunity to strike. Time will tell and hopefully, I'll be wrong.

This was time for a little mellowness and air-clearing. I'm sure Spike decided that additional grabs might lead to something a little more agressive - which isn 't bad, you understand. :P

Mario is a realist and weighed the factors involved. He appreciated Spike's honesty and loyalty...that's a big thing. And he's a good 'company' man.

Next installment, Mike, will be December 19.

B) ......Although I agree to err on the side of caution (Glenn), you have to remember that Cray took care of Vince. That had to impress the goon squad, as I'm sure they would long remember Vince apologizing.

Spike does currently consider Cray a brother, even tho he does wish he was older. All I was trying to say is, I see nothing wrong in two brothers having some fun in teasing each other.

Maybe I'm just being cautious at the moment about Glenn, given that we don't know too much about him at the moment. The most of what we do know at the moment isn't that good. And people can change. I know personally, I would be cautious until I knew him a little better.

For me, the story has become all about Mario. I adore the guy.

Does anyone want to know how I would react if Mario asked me to kiss him on the lips but no tongue?

Mario is definitely gonna go far in his uhhhmm....line of work. He has a great business sense, a total team player and shows compassion for the people under his....guidance. :D

Great chapter, Jack! :worship:

Mario may permit his Christmas photograph to appear at next week's posting. :lmao: I'll know more in a day or so. I'm happy that you're reacting to this guy. I feel the same way.

I just saw the chapter! Sorry for being late.

Great chapter! Hrmmm, things are getting interesting for Spike. Maybe Leo is more permanent than Spike is willing to admit?

However, Glenn, for some reason, makes me thing things will get complicated between Cray and Michael.

BTW, I LOVED the "code talking", that was hilarious, and very realistic.

As an adult (of more than a few decades) writer, 0:) it is a challenge to create dialogue for different age groups that is considered realistic. I appreciate your comment, CJ. Sometimes I think some of my younger characters come off as being too mature...but I knew teens 'back then' who had their act together.

The one problem I've found is that true realistic dialog isn't possible to write. Think how people actually talk, all the interruptions, pauses, "ahs", repetitions, body language, etc, and as a reult the best a writer can do is come up with a compromise, or an approximation. I think you did it very well. :)

Chapter 15 is up. Hope you enjoy the developments. http://jackscribe.gayauthors.org/desert/Chapter15.php.

BTW, Mario sends his Christmas greetings...although he is a little shy about having his photo taken. Have a terrific holiday season, everyone.

Jack, this was a great chapter. Lots of action and surprises. Things are going well for Cray. He's living a charmed life for someone who was recently so lost. Thanks for a most interesting story.

Yes. Cray has fallen into a series of unplanned positive experiences. :P

I'm not sure why the jpg doesn't respond. Maybe Mario is being Mario? 0:)

That was a bit of a shock to me to find out about Micheal's dad. That should make things a little for the father/son relationship, tho there doesn't seem to be anything wrong with it.

I'm not having any problems viewing the thumbnails.

B) .......A settling down type of Chapter, all the pieces of the puzzle coming together, so the shock to me was  why don't people lock their bedroom doors?? I mean Michael's dad showing was way out of left field, I didn't see that one coming at all :P

Apparently, the training session must have gone better than planned to bring dad home early. And it would appear that neither of the guys was thinking about closing the door. At the rate that Cray and Micheal are going, it wouldn't surprise me to see them get outed at school before long. This is the second time they have been caught. Remember poolside? There's also the possibility that Micheal doesn't normally close his bedroom door for privacy, unless dad is at home.

B) .......Right! I almost forgot about the poolside incident!! :P I can almost see it, Michael & Cray walking in school hallways from opposite directions..... getting closer ...closer...seeing only each other...dropping their books... running with arms open... Jeeze!! Why not take an ad out :P

Jack....Your torturing us with your teasing  .

We do not know why, but for some reason, jpgs seem to be only able to be opened by people with a title. So people that are listed as Author, Moderator, Editor, Queen, etc. can open them, but us 'readers' can't.

Thanks,

I've posted in the Administration Communication forum about the problem.

Dad did get a chance to finish training early and go home. When you're opening a new hotel/casino, the hours are rather long and you take a break when you can. Cray and Michael, with hormones* rumbling, weren't very cautious and didn't consider the chance of discovery when emotion and physicality took over the guys' reasoning.

*I've always thought it odd that a young male becomes sexually functional after puberty around 13 and hits a sexual peak at 18 years of age. :( As I recall, a female's sexual peak is around 35.

Well this does explain why we see in the tabloids about 35 year old females with 18 year old males. :D

That was careless of them, but believable. I'm wondering though if Bud won't be as mellow as he seems.

I also notied another mention of Cray's real father. I have a hunch he'll be showing up sooner or later.
