Ive been reading it "Shay" It feels weird to be reading it any other way after reading it this way for so long.

I read the story, and loved it. I pronounced it as part of the name, Cheyenne, pronounces as Shy'-en. So, Chey=Shy.

That's actually a really good point... I'm going to go with "shay" though because that's how I've been pronouncing it and I'm not going to coach myself to change it

Shay, but then again, I have a dog name Shy. It just makes sense though that it would be just a shortened form of Cheyenne. However, my name is Amelia and most people call me Amy or Mia. Neither sounds like Amelia.

I would say "Chey" sounds like "shy" since it's a diminutive form of "Cheyenne".

Now that Chey (Cheyenne) has made an appearance in a new Domluka story, I've always wondered how people pronounced her nickname. We probably all pronounce Cheyenne the same (shy-anne) , but what about Chey? It's probably correct to pronounce it shy, but whenever I read it in DD, I pronounced it Ch-ay.
