I read on a few sites, but write only on a couple.

I RP via skype and gaiaonline with a few friends. I used to be very active on writing.com, because I love their campfire creatives (something of a cross between role-playing and a round robin), but between lack of time and lack of actual adults to write with, I've let that account sit idle awhile. I've posted several things to http://yaoi.y-gallery.net, though I use that site mainly to ogle all the bishonen and poke fun at the women who write men as women with dicks. That site is friendly to many kinks and fetishes and I have had an eyeful on occasion. ;)

As for reading, I like twistedhilarity.com, http://yaoifix.com/ & http://sapayne.com/. The last two annoy me on a fairly regular basis, but Twisted has a fic on yaoifix that I just love, so I deal with it, and Sarah has written better in the past. I especially like Blurring the Lines and All Souls Pass.

I occasionally go over to fanfiction.net, but I find good writing hard to find, and I still get notifications from Objection! : A Phoenix Wright Fanfic Archive because I had an obsession with the game and characters when it first came out. :*)

Mmm... Toshi and Mick, yum!!! Good taste Dark ;) Sarah is an excellent writer. Twisted has quite a few good works free on her website and her HEA rec's are pretty decent. Aarinfantasy has a lot of good yaoi type fiction but their story format sucks. Awesome Dude hosts a lot of authors that write well and they have the 'Best of Nifty' area with rec's from all sorts of sites. I like downloading the free e-books from all romanceebooks.com, I even have a hetero short story in a contest anthology over there. They feature all sorts of stories and they have a large number of free ones, though the quality varies. Check out the site recommendations here on GA too.

Wattpad is awful good, StoryPlay is an up & coming site, GD is just picky w/ they're stories (Which is the 1st chapter of Kenny & Keith is like that) but alot of my fav authors: Sucker, Kpaul xmenga, & Habu. Also my fav. commenter on there which is Curtis, added a comment on my stories - made me really happy. And Yaoi, it's pretty dead. in 2007 I was the top author there, now I think I'm 3rd or 4th best. My old account Shaycaramell But I had to resign up as MidNight_Love. Narutofic.org, eh it's a clean cut site. Livejournal, you have to do ALOT to get noticed - be in over 10 clubs, and over 30 friends. The works. I LOVED fanworks! Slaspartytime, was when I wrote my 1st fanfic, back in....2006?

I used StoryWrite.com for a while. I got some nice reviews for the few stories I posted. They just recently reformatted the whole site, and made it less user friendly. Right now the site seems to be overrun by adolescent Emo kids and all their post pubescent angst, not to mention all the vampire/werewolf Twilight fan fiction stories (most not very good). I lost interest in it after a while, but there are some interesting gay writers there. I also tried writing.com, but the site was so cumbersome (to me) that I quickly abandoned it.

There is a new site as of this week that is encouraging serious amateur authors to post and be known. It is run by the same people as http://www.jaygordonstories.com/ but is for other authors to post their work. The focus of this site is to steer away from the stories that are 90% sex and towards stories that have more substance to them. This site also allows readers to contact their favorite authors directly unlike some sites that are on the web like Nifty.

For the authors that are hosted there the site also allows them to edit their stories on-site and in real time without removing the chapter from the site and re-posting, or you can even write their stories directly to the site without going through format conversions

The new site is http://thestorycloset.org/ even though the site has only been open for a few days it is already fully operational and growing by the minute.

Come join us at The Story Closet.

I don't think anyone's mentioned it yet, so I'll put it out there:

Literotica http://www.literotica.com/stories

Some of what's there isn't particularly good and some of it has little to no plot, but if you go to 'top lists' and then choose 'gay' as your genre, some of the top stuff is really really good! I even go back and re-read the ones i like best :D Some of the authors there are fabulous.

Lit is my guilty pleasure. Then again... Nope. I don't know what guilt is.

I tend to post my stories on adultfanfiction.net and y-gallery as well, but I haven't read a whole lot and even my writing has suffered a massive blow. I'm going to have to comb this thread to get some ideas on where I would fit in with my stories!

I read on nifty - but I find a lot of the stories are dominated by very unrealistic sex scenes, with little to no story. The Perfect Game is a nice story.

I've also read a few stories on deweywriter.com, most have very little sex in them - I especially love the story "For the love of Pete". It's one of the most heartbreaking stories I've ever read.

GA is the only site I post to - the first three chapters of my first attempt at a story are up (Kyle and Kodi).

Come on guys you are on the number one site Posted Image

why would you need more when you have the best,

that said I do frequent Nifty on sunny days

unfortunately in the Uk we dont get many Posted Image

Yes this is one of the best sites, but when you have been here for 4 years and have read all that you thought you had read, you just get a craving for more. Like I NEED more jock/geek stories and I think I've read them all here and sadly unless there hiding, I think I may have read that genre on almost every site mentioned on this thread and the others I'm just having a hard time finding:/
