While I do like your idea, Mac, my brain doesn’t work that way. I like looking at and thinking about the pieces of a story, rather than dissecting it as a whole. Which is probably why I don’t do many story reviews - I find it hard to pick out the important pieces at the end. 

 

Having said that, it’s also fun to see how close my guesses come to the actual story as told by the author.

Just so you know, because of this story's length, i was going to suggest not to open a forum for it. I am grateful to @BHopper2 however, dont get me wrong.

 

I am frankly quite surprised at all the questions raised here.

Sanctuary and its inhabitants are mysterious, so I’m not surprised this story is generating a lot of questions. I, for one, am enjoying this dialogue be it conjecture or opinion driven.

Got a little distracted by something in the story, so I had to hit the pause button and do a little hunting. 

 

This is not quite what Cynthia put together what with the peonies being pink and ivory and the cabbage rose being peach in colour (looks that way to me), it does give me an idea as to what the flower arrangement might look like. 

 

 

Now, back to the story...

I appreciate Finn saying please try and stop rather than just stop. This action is rather ingrained, I think, and won’t be easy to stop as it were. Finn asking the way he did is very kind. He may not like her doing it, but he’s being gentle with his admonishment, thereby putting Nora at ease rather than making her feel bad that she is doing something that displeases her future employer.

I also wanted to say I like Finn and Christian being on the same page as far as the state/pace of their relationship. While the child issue caused a moment of angst for Christian - he wants time alone with Finn to enjoy being a married couple - it was fleeting, because again, they are on the same page. It’s kismet, I tell you!
