Morning all

It's was chilly this morning but the sky is bright. I've made tomato sauce, just enough for pizza tonight. Barely 30 meters from the plants to the pan. It's really sweet, not acidic. 

There's a guy installing the optical fiber. He's funny. He's calling dad "boss" and told him he looks like he's a good guy with his men on the working sites. As dad doesn't want the cable visible along side the wall he "carved a path" in the wall that he'll repairs later and the guy was impress "wow boss your so strong and good. I hope all my clients were like you"  

Enjoy you first day of autumn 🍁🎃 That emoji makes me thing of the little pyjama I bought for my cousin's future baby, it's bright orange with a face on the front like carved in a pumpkin and there's  a beanie like the top of the pumpkin. I couldn't resist,  it's so cute, like a Halloween costume

A bit cooler than the past week or so here today. Cloudy also, with occasional slight showers. The Met Office is suggesting the next week will have changeable weather, some rain, and cooler than recently, with even the possibility of slight frosts overnight...

Unfortunately, no.    It was another restless night.  Yes, I do spend some time on the computer before bed.  That's nothing new.  I think my sleep problems are related to a couple of things.  First is the pandemic.  I've been having sleep issues since it started.  It's very difficult to wind down at night.  I can be yawning and just about to fall asleep, but the minute my body senses that, it goes into 'alert' mode and I wind up instead.  The second thing stems from a couple of incidents at the house.  The first was around the Fourth of July, when someone knocked on my window, then set a firework off in my backyard.  The second incident was only this past Saturday.  I woke up at 3:30 am to what sounded like someone tapping on my window.    So those two things have me hypervigilant at night, because I'm afraid of it happening again.  And also wondering who the eff is sick enough to scare someone like that.  I'm considering getting security cameras.

We've had frost warnings for parts of the area over the last few days.  It's warming up this week though, and supposed to be up to 78 by the end of the week.  It's been beautiful fall weather here.  My favorite time of year

I do like the autumnal weather (and colours), but it's definitely not my favourite time of the year.  

But that's because it portends winter.

I much prefer the spring.

The northern part of the state had a freeze that ended the growing season. My dad said he thinks there was frost in areas here too though not enough to end the growing season. It's been dry here the last week and rain isn't expected before the weekend and then likely only showers.

Yeah, but only for short periods... a few minutes here, a few minutes there.    I did have a half hour nap last evening.

I don't mind the cold.  I like winter too, but I hate driving in snowstorms.  My commute to work is definitely not fun when it's snowing out.  I'm still furloughed at the moment, but I'm willing to bet I'll return just in time for winter.
