Write about a time that you expected something to go a certain way---only for those expectations to fall short of the mark. Maybe a planned vacation or surprise birthday party fell flat. Maybe a romantic evening with a significant other turned into a disaster, or a new pet became more work than you'd been prepared to handle. Write how you felt about this event, and how you responded. Did you recover from this loss? Why, or why not? What would you have done differently?
