Invision Community 4.6 Badges - Sneak Peak

The forum community software version 4.6 is running in Alpha testing on the developer's own forums.  This is a quick snap of my own profile over over:

The ranks on the left are based off from points earned from various things.  We have turned our "ranks" off at the moment and have only named our reputation levels. Reputation level shown on profiles currently:

Our reputation levels are total number of reactions received.

The badges, as it currently stands in development, are received upon certain actions being completed, or events.  Such as making 500 posts.  Or coming back, etc.  Interestingly, they have add on tags to the badges, shown above "rare". 

Oh, don't worry if you don't care about the badges.  There is a subset of people that will care about them a lot and that should hopefully increase the overall interactions.

It will still be awhile yet on these.  They have to finish 4.6 software then we need to get a compatibility update for our Stories Archive and then we need to deploy the feature.

Is there a break down of all the different badge options and what it takes to achieve them?

Nope.  The forum company choose not to provide that as an option.

I was looking for that too. Guess you just have to do whatever you do and badges pop up like decorations on the cake!

You can look at other peoples profiles and see what badges they have. You’ll get a feeling for some of the more popular ones and maybe even some of the lesser popular ones if someone has higher rankings and is active on the site

Pretty much all the badges involve posting something.  This further skews towards story related items too.  Stories, Chapters, Comments, Reviews.  There are a few that are related to showing up every day.  like the 30 day, 180 day, 1 year.  That sort of thing.
