FreeThinker Posted February 6, 2004 Posted February 6, 2004 I received an email today from a friend who says that the writer Eric Draven has passed away. I am very sad. I have enjoyed reading his work on Nifty. I thought the other members might want to know.
Site Administrator Myr Posted February 6, 2004 Site Administrator Posted February 6, 2004 I've heard that from someone else. Sad to hear.
August Christopher Posted February 6, 2004 Posted February 6, 2004 Very sad to hear that, he was having so much fun with celebrity Here is a link to his page: http://geocities.com/ericstoryboy/ August ;-) 1
Pyro Posted February 9, 2004 Posted February 9, 2004 I heard that as well. According to another author I talked with he got it from teh nifty chat room. From what he was told and he told me Eric died on his way to the hospital. He died of a brain anerisum (I hope I spelled that right). This is a true sad tragedy and it hurts the all of us writers. August Christopher Posted February 15, 2004 Posted February 15, 2004 Just a thought... Looking through his site, he mentions that he has re-written some of his stories and talks about going to ask nifty to update them. I didn't see any updates on nifty. Wouldn't it be the right thing to do to host his stories? As a postume gift to him? May his work stay alive after he's gone? As I said! Just a thought! August ;-) 1
Pyro Posted February 15, 2004 Posted February 15, 2004 I think that would be a good idea as well. It would be up to the Admin, amd the mods for final decision. Pyro :-) 1
Site Administrator Myr Posted February 15, 2004 Site Administrator Posted February 15, 2004 I have no problem hosting things, but it would be up to whomever those copyrights reverted to on his passing. 1
Forloyn Posted February 16, 2004 Posted February 16, 2004 all you can do is send a email to him and cross your fingers and hope someone prefribly the person takeing over the copyrites gets it.
