Navigator Posted July 24, 2004 Posted July 24, 2004 Okay, I've been looking through the various votes and have been seeing averages like 8.3 and 9.2, but when I look at the amount of reviews and the ratings of each review, the math just does not add up. Myr's story Parlament of Dreams currently has a score of 9.2 when really it should be 9.75 Take 39 and divide it by 40 you get .975 which is 97.5% or 9.75 out of 10. Ditto with rooftop encounter. The score should be 9, not 8.3. What gives? is it using some sort of logarithim where the lower the score the harsher it effects the average? Just curious.
Flip Posted July 24, 2004 Posted July 24, 2004 There's a "hidden" vote... if you click on the views link (right under the story title) It will give you a list of all the votes. It doesn't show up on the other page because there's no comment's to go with it... (in this case the other vote was a 7)

Guest jamieanderson Posted July 30, 2004 Posted July 30, 2004 hell, what if I can't remember my password!? *panics are starts making randome gueses* <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Given your somewhat unique method of spelling I'd be very surprised if you ever got your password correct twice in a row. Jamie.

Guest jamieanderson Posted August 2, 2004 Posted August 2, 2004 I'm making you the villion in my next story! Gee, I've never been one of those before! Jamie.
Taryn Winterblade Posted August 2, 2004 Posted August 2, 2004 Do you somehow get off on picking on those who have problems? Honestly, just because Forloyn has problems spelling things correctly, it does not mean that you have the right to pick on him for that fact.
ethan thorn Posted August 2, 2004 Posted August 2, 2004 ok i was laughing at the what if i forgot my password thing but there is no call for someone being picked on.
BillM Posted August 2, 2004 Posted August 2, 2004 Okay, the whole spelling thing ends here pls. Be nice
