For those reading my story, I swear, I'll have it finished before June. 😅 80k+ words in, and I'm still, er, more than halfway. Haha.

This is an exciting time for Benjamin and Joseph and meeting Grandad Ox was emotional. Landing in Manchester is not quite the end, there is still the last leg of the journey to complete. Some of what you mention is included in the bonus chapter, the rest is for other stories. The boys do make a brief appearance in What Happened To The Baxter Boys, I'm sure we will hear from them again.
-
All's well that end's well. The boys are in Manchester and will start a new life with Ian and Keith and Granddad OX. So many worked so hard to get to this point. It seems like miracles can happen. Thank you for writing an additional chapter telling us what happens next. Joseph and Benjamin are going to find , I bet, they are part of a larger family and suppportive community and should love it.

Nathan woke some time in the late afternoon. Brohm lay dead asleep on his back, snoring lightly, his massive chest rising and falling. A small smile crept on Nathan’s face as he watched, only to be interrupted by his fiercely growling stomach. Eyeing the saddlebag hanging from a low branch, he quietly padded over, and found within the last of their original food store. Despite his hunger, he forced himself to eat slowly. At the base of the tree trunk sat a wineskin filled with water, and h

The entance and assembling of the patrons could be a game changer. The guards will be looking outward for defence and inward at the performance area. Hudson could have some more freedom of movement to find Otis and hope for a rescue. If Hudson and Otis are lucky, the mass of high end cars and well dressed people will alert the police that the big event is going to start and a police attack should be made. The fighting will be loud and ferocious and confusing. Hudson can use the confusion to try to spirit Otis away and hide him until the police find them. Keres might run to take his prize Otis away and Hudson needs to be ready to kill Keres. I bet Keres has a secret way out and will run to take Otis out with him. Otis might surprise Keres and turn on him if he see Keres fighting Hudson. We shall see......

Well yeah… Never have I ever used a vegetable as a sex toy.

Once Keres is captured (hopefully alive) I hope Otis can put aside his principles and extraordinary kindness for long enough to be allowed to break every one of Keres' fucking toes very slowly and with precision.

I'm glad you're enjoying this and please feel free to respond more often. Yes, things like this might get out, but until Gramps and Pops start to hear rumblings of suspicion about what's happening, I don't believe they'll become too concerned. However, if these things start going viral and Devin or Mac might be identified by their clothing or being caught transitioning, I'm sure that Gramps and Pops might only mildly chastise them, although they may issue additional warnings. Yes, I believe we're all unsure about what to do about Louella, but I'm sure she'll get hers in the end.
-
Louella is a problem, but I believe the boys are also confused about what should be done with her. Maybe she should be visited by men in black and accused of being a spy - or an extraterrestrial. With her size, she could be hiding an entire family of other ETs. I won't argue that Devin is taking risks, but it seems that he can't resist helping someone in need.

Killan told Lucas he has meet Kandric at a magic school and he is his friend and stood up for him. At some point, if things turn out, maybe Killan can introduce Kandric to his new friends and convey they are decent and honorable and trustworthy. Killian maybe able to help them to not fear each other. Garnet noticed a change in Aegir. It could be due to his spirit experiences. I hope the two of them can meet the four sprits and more. The Seandrans will need the help of spirits and other poweful beings as they take on their next goals. There has been no mention of a very powerful mage, sorcerer or shaman who could transport the caravan to the City of Lucas the Lost. Does Mablin have a transport plan? The potential presence of a green dragon in hiding needs to be checked out. Will Garnet still so knocked from his flight with Xavier that he cannot scan all newly arrived caravan members to see if they are also a green dragon? Who can be the person to look for green dragons if Garnet is not available ?The last minute caravan driver should be a candidate to check out Mablin has to be warned so he will not object loudly and cause any hiddden being to turn into a dragon to fight and kill those nearby.

There will always be nosy neighbors - that's what tall fences are for, to cut down on it a little. As I've said above, even if Preston does find out, because he's a professor of anthropology he may be more open to things of that nature, as long as they're using it for good, not evil. Devin is taking risks, although he seems to be doing what he can at the time to minimize the risks. With that being said, however, is it always enough?
-
Louella is just one of those minor city officials that think they have more power than they do. Sometimes she acts like she's the mayor. The boys just have to keep their cool with her, at least when she knows it's them. Yes, not all states have that law, and then there's always those who think they don't have to follow the law, so it means the law doesn't always work until something goes wrong and then they're charged with not obeying the law. Yes, Preston is observant, but like I told Paladin, even if he discovered their secret, with his educational background he may be more open to it than others would be. Yes, although using ACME products might not have helped them, maybe they'd have been better off if Gramps and Pops were more like Elmer Fudd. "I'm gonna hunt me a wabbit or a coyote. "
-
Thank you, Paladin, and Mac is very capable of thinking quickly on his feet. I'm sure he'd prepared himself for Preston asking the questions about the additional dog, as well as the fact that Preston might ask him where the dogs had all been trained, but he did a great job. As I explained to Chris, Devin did take a chance, but since the others were focused on the accident, it might not be as great a risk as it appeared to us, knowing what we knowing about his abilities. As far as Louella and Preston, Louella is more of a problem, and if they give her a good enough scare, she might have a heart attack and die, and then Gramps and Pops could buy that property as well. Preston is observant, but since he likes Mac, he may not be a major problem even if he did find out. Being a professor in the anthropology department, he might be more open to what they are then most.

This story just keeps getting better and better as I'm being absorbed into it ever deeper. While it is not exactly a walk down Memory Lane for me (I was far more closeted back in the day) this story is far more engaging than my own life back at the time. All those missed opportunities! Thanks for bringing to the fore of my mind's eye all that might have been *sigh*
