    Chapter 1

WOW, love how you used the apples for metaphors and how perfectly they blended. So well done...

    Chapter 1

All of these were truly well done; but 2 and 3 really touched something in me; I think because of my age, they resonated more with me than the others but so enjoyed them all.

    Into the Past

So descriptive and the imagery that the words painted were so impactful. Brought up some really nice memories of the past for me.
  5. Ok I really loved how the date went. I love how they showed Robbie and Nathan their sexual attraction to each other and still maintained their control to behave themselves. This is a level of maturity we’ve not yet really seen in Robbie. I think Nathan will be good for Robbie in teaching him to be self confident and help him come out. That said, it’s clear Nathan (who is liked by and large by the Taylor family), Daniel and Nicola will support Robbie against his new parents and help them come around too. Don will be the most difficult sell of course. Something tells me Sue is more open minded than even Don is aware and it won’t take much to win her over

    Seasons

Spring and Fall were well written but disturbing; but I guess that was the point. Summer was really nice. Winter however was very powerful. I truly felt the emotion behind this one. They were all well written, but this one was truly special.
  7. I agree with Skinny and Tim here. A mentally healthy Robbie is precious. I love how he got defensive to that jock tool

    Changes

Truly delightful, and so descriptively accurate about the situation.
  9. Talk about some powerful words, this one has it all; but Mendacity is nothing short of brilliant.
  10. I think Nicola might have that angle in the back of her mind but only so she can keep her social status.
  11. Loved them all, but Mendacity was truly brilliant.
  12. I got the feeling that Fran’s brother was trying to get him drunk? What if Fran DIDN’T pass out and took advantage to sketch Robbie nude while she had the opportunity and he doesn’t remember because he was passed out?! If so, I fear that sketch will become public and then things will really get interesting.
  13. Keeping those under you hungry and drugged is standard operating procedure for just about any cult out there. This one is nothing new; can't believe that Lyoth was idiotic enough to just swallow a bunch of pills that he had no idea what were, I am sorry, but how dumb do you have to be...

    Chapter 7

When I was about 12 years old I was sent to a friend of mothers to stay with their family for a week, so I fully get the visitor vibe, perfectly articulated from both Mike and Maggie's point of view. This is such a lovely gentle story of finding that your feelings are valid and that rejection is not always mandatory. 💔
  15. I feel Robbie is going to make a mistake being so careless here yet this time, I feel he’ll learn from it more than any other lesson
  16. Who is Maddox Barksley and how did Jaycen and Troy put him away? Was it while being reserve deputies or did they testify against him; we need the back story on this pronto. LOL Love the Baby Rambo reference and seems to be accurate. Have no issues with reasonable firearms as long as someone is trained to use and care for them properly.
  17. I’m glad you liked the reworked aphorisms in Number 15. They seem almost quaint these days. There is something immensely comforting about the sound of rain on the roof. Thanks for reading these, and for your very kind comments.

    Chapter 14

Well the search for Ethan is ongoing; but the man that took him doesn't seem to want to hurt him, and he knows who he is; but why take him??? He did not recover what he was looking for and it seems that would be more important that taking Ethan. Well, can't wait to see what happens now...
  19. Where to begin? Each is wonderful in its own right. Two especially speak to me: Nos. 1 and 15. Number 1 elicits times of camping in the outdoors, sleeping in an old farmhouse and lying in a feather bed with the sounds of the trees and of the night playing through the open window. Number 15 is a very poignant description of the current state of our crazy divided society at the moment. You have an ability I truly admire. With words, you create such rich images that I love to read but couldn't write in any way! Thank you for sharing your rich talent!
  20. Today
  21. Looks like there is no more hope... 😞🥺
  22. 10. Awake at Night I listen to the rain on the roof murmur soft words of reassurance while the brook outside my window sings lullaby to smooth-skinned adolescent beech trees which toss and turn mutely in their sleep. 11. Openings in the Woods Through the decayed leaves, tiny purple spring beauties open to the sun. Wood chips lie scattered about the long-broken ash, beneath birds at work. Huge tangled

    Chapter 7

Peter, Paul, and Mary, Tom, Dick, and Harry or Bob, Ted, Carol, and Alice???
  24. That's adorable. Back when I was in my apartment, I had the balcony door open in the evening because it was a mild night. I walked into the room just in time to see my cat executing an amazing mid air somersault trying to catch a bat that flew into my house. It turned and flew right back out again.

    Chapter 11

So River is used to "patching up their tears and holes with pieces of myself. I’d been doing it all my life"(great line, by the way), but he still lives within himself more often than not. He loses time with his obsessions, but then I think this describes a lot of artists. We were never allowed inside River and Kenji's relationship before, I wonder how Kenji will handle River's occasional complete self absorption. Or is Kenji what River needs to temper his OCD?
