  2. The Naptown Tales are incredibly well written, with complex intertwined relationships and storylines. It should be published, together with the sequel, as a (ore more than one) book! Preferably also an e-book 😉 The stories deal with everything imaginable in young peoples lives, gay and straight, and -last but not least- of love! I could go on and on about the series, but will refrain from doing so, only to conclude with: a must-read!
  3. That the mother doesn't want custody is somewhat refreshing.

  6. Connor turned down Randolph Lane and punched the gas. It was a gorgeous area. Trees dotted the rolling hills of the wide-open landscape and every quarter mile or so, a new and beautiful mansion would appear in the distance. The large houses were set far from the road with long, curving driveways and the addresses were only visible on the mailboxes. The people who lived out here had lots of money… Connor had known a boy who’d lived in this neighborhood. He was an asshole and the entir
  7. I was picking up where it left off rather than starting completely anew as it wasn't originally my thread. Again, you could simply have explained that initially. Not everyone processes the same way. Patience is helpful with more than just children and so many people forget that it's a reason I don't usually engage in social media or forums of any kind. Good day!
  8. It wasn't intended to be rude. I simply couldn't fathom out what you were doing as your initial post was quoting a post from almost 2 years ago.
  9. Insert usual montra here. Let's hear it for all those Bean Counters out there. It's National Orchid Day. If you're working from home today, then Wear Your Pajamas to Work today. For breakfast this morning we'll be having Eggs Benedict.
  10. Ok.... apologies I tried no need to be rude. You could have simply explained it better. I'll remove them.
  11. There's a lot on this list that I've read, but there's also a lot that I haven't read so my reading list is expanding and I need to find time to write too.

  13. weeds @JJQuinn Based on your two posts it appear you have not grasped the 'rules' of this game.

    Chapter 12

Ok, I went in and edited the chapter so that part should explain things better - at least I hope it does. Check it out if you get time and let me know what you think. Thank you.

    Chapter 12

Yeah, JJ is the only son that Brad can actually cower into doing what he wants him to do. I think that's why JJ is so scared about this visit, because he's worried Brad won't like Kris and will want him to dump him. Because deep down, JJ probably would do it if push came to shove. At least at this point.

    Chapter 3

One of the things I've attempted to do with this story is to draw from my own life and what I know of a few others. As a people, our being gay really is but a small part of who we are. We are everywhere and we make up all walks of life.

    Chapter 4

The only true wisdom is in knowing you know nothing. -Socrates "Honey, I need you to keep still. You're bleeding all over the place." The bartender’s voice—Darcy’s voice, my booze addled mind absently amended—sounded tinny, like she was shouting at me from across the width of the Grand Canyon, even though she was right next to me, wedged in between my highbacked stool and the bar top. I could feel the warmth of her slim hands contrasting with the smooth cool metal of the ri

    Chapter 3

That's the point, Pete is braking stereotypes and cliches. There is something Spartan in him. He bruised his characters having difficult childhood. As a quote says - What doesn't kill you, makes you stronger! The reaction from teammates has been surprisingly positive. It is sad Arlie has to quit team just not to be beaten by homophobic father. Not because being gay but being on the same team with gay...ridiculous, specially knowing that there is at least one more closeted gay in team...and how many more closeted professional sportsmen around the world! Another kind of homophobia, living like ostrich with had in sand - if we don't speak about homosexuality, then it doesn't exist!?! Relationship with Mitch might be completely new, romantic experience for Pete. Till now, it was all about surviving, maybe even surprising sexual tension and hormones. He can be a teenage boy now, not only 'soldier'!

    Chapter 12

And how neglectful was I not to my mention, the most profound, the most moving, the most joyous paragraph you have perhaps ever written @James Carnarvon: “And you’re Marco Fardello,” he replied. “You help people without expecting anything in return, but when something’s not right, you burn. Around your friends, you’ve always felt like the odd one out… you’ve never thought anyone could really like you. But…” He leaned closer to whisper into Marco’s ear. “you’re way hotter than you think you are.” 😭😭😭😭😭😭💖💖💖💖💖💖

    Chapter 18

I wish I knew where Kyle was going after this. It is the last chapter we had from him. I know he is working on another Kandric chapter at the moment, so there is that... So quit yer groanin'

    Chapter 12

Actually, Devin hasn't actually passed the maximum end of the range for a growth spurt, which is usually considered to be 18-20, but it doesn't preclude it happening later. I went to school with a boy who was always the smallest boy in the class, and even a graduation he was shorter than most of the girls as well. I ran into him two or three years later and didn't recognize him, because he was 6' 2" (188 cm). And remember that Devin's size doesn't completely rely on what we would face, because as a skinwalker he can make himself taller or shorter at a whim. Yes, it's never good to be bullied, but his family used it teach him to fight back, a skill they felt he'd need if he transit ioned into an animal in the wild.
