Where to begin? Each is wonderful in its own right. Two especially speak to me: Nos. 1 and 15. Number 1 elicits times of camping in the outdoors, sleeping in an old farmhouse and lying in a feather bed with the sounds of the trees and of the night playing through the open window. Number 15 is a very poignant description of the current state of our crazy divided society at the moment. You have an ability I truly admire. With words, you create such rich images that I love to read but couldn't write in any way! Thank you for sharing your rich talent!

Awake at Night I listen to the rain on the roof murmur soft words of reassurance while the brook outside my window sings lullaby to smooth-skinned adolescent beech trees which toss and turn mutely in their sleep. 11. That's adorable. Back when I was in my apartment, I had the balcony door open in the evening because it was a mild night. I walked into the room just in time to see my cat executing an amazing mid air somersault trying to catch a bat that flew into my house. It turned and flew right back out again.

So River is used to "patching up their tears and holes with pieces of myself. I’d been doing it all my life"(great line, by the way), but he still lives within himself more often than not. He loses time with his obsessions, but then I think this describes a lot of artists. We were never allowed inside River and Kenji's relationship before, I wonder how Kenji will handle River's occasional complete self absorption. Or is Kenji what River needs to temper his OCD?

It's currently 32 F colder now than it was this time yesterday. Temp dropped 10 F in one hour from 11am to noon.

@Anton_Cloche why, whatever do you mean? I'm innocent of all ridiculousness. You were close, Mystofellese. I named the character after Mister Mistofellese from Cats. We did a predominantly spoken version as a play in high school. There were only three songs. A guy named Danny sang "Gus The Theater Cat" with a girl named Crystal, she also sang "Memory," and I sang Mister Mistofellese. So, I guess I'm adding you to my growing list of ticklers.

And abstinence make parts of some harder.... Just who is after M....

So we have a clue as to where to search but we still have mystery. What is the black disc and why is it so important and why has Ethan been kidnapped? I think a bit of tickling is necessary.

I love this chapter. Of course Liam wants to have Mike all to himself. The parents are out and the twins were absorbed in playing a game so Liam had a chance to play some one on one games with Mike. However, Liam's response to Mike spending time with the twins shows that his feelings for Mike are more than just sexual. The scene in the storeroom and closet was wonderful. It certainly made hide and seek a more entertaining game.

I as @weinerdog pointed out, am convinced M is somewhat playing the innocent game a bit too well...all through the first two chapters we see instances where he 'knows' some things but not other things...makes me go hummmmm

Aaarghh! What The H E double hockey sticks are you doing? And what does the demon Mephistopheles (sp not one that seems to refer to furball) want with young Stormcloud / Ethan. (Aside from the carnal evilness he is known and reviled for in Germanic lore).

So Connor encounters something strange in the abandoned house, goes unconscious and is rescued by M. Then sees an Orb… unconscious again and wakes up back home. M must have some serious strength or can levitate things… then Connor hears M talking to someone, but there is no one there…. Very mysterious. Sunday with Hannah will be interesting, He needs to tell Hannah about his feelings, but is afraid.
