    Chapter 8

I am really interested in finding out graphically how River and Kenji have sex that excites and fulfills them. I can see how a dom enjoys control. But, River puzzles me. Will he do something new? I always saw him as the guy in charge or setting the boundaries.Have I misread him ? What will he do or let be done to him that gives him orgasms with Kenji? We will find out soon.....

    Chapter 8

RivKen would be the best one. That would guarantee longevity. Why? The longest streak in playing consecutive baseball game was set by Cal Ripken so Ripken,RivKen?....Okay I know that's a stretch

    Entry 40-41

OK this it pretty much the first time we hear about some slightly annoying trait Ross might have (talking too much) and being lousy at helping Adam exasperated things little plus the tiny blow up between Carl and Ross.Rough patch ahead perhaps? I never noticed the book cover before (Took me long enough) I'm guess Ross house is on the left side and Adam is on the right? One tiny insignificant error. I broke it up without any bloody noses or broken furniture like a WWE match and came home. The time frame this story takes place WWE was called WWF then. The fact that I know that says more about me then anything else
  11. I'll grace you with my omelette, too. It started with the idea of making an omelette, but then I went overboard with the veggies and tomato (it's a FRUIT) so it looks rather ridiculous. But so tasty! There's also some cheddar.
  12. Been a good day so far.. Shrink is happy with me. The crumpet rings finally got here, and I made these. It's not nearly perfect, and i miss my convection oven, which helps to brown things. i need practice making the crosses.. but they smell nice.. lol Can't wait to try them. They are made with lemon and orange candied peel, golden and dark raisins, spices and a little splenda brown sugar.
  13. New things on my list … to read … AHHHHHH.

  16. Today
  17. I first read this particular…chapter? Episode? Story? Part? Of the SS universe via the author’s website. It’s well-written and I was intrigued by the premise. I like that Alec and Sasha are very different people but still managed to come together. Who Alec is, someone that won’t back down, maybe as a way to impress Sasha, but also his personality that drove him to do what he did. We are all teenagers once and some of us never had the fortune to meet someone who would stick up for us or be there for us through thick and thin. That is the review for this particular part (chapter?) of the series. Moving to the series itself, I do say I quite enjoy the characters overall and they are all complicated and multidimensional - with various degrees of issues being dealt with when coming to terms with being an awkward teenager and/or being gay. With that said, the author also explored multiple issues/subjects including, what I believe is the correct term, polyamory. I have heard about it, I have came across fiction that explored it but I never would choose to get out of my way to read them. While some may be uncomfortable with the concept, as I was (and still am), I don’t think it’s fair to ding someone’s creativity because of lack of a trigger warning. I was surprised to read the throuple and development between the four original characters, I forced (not in a bad way) myself to go through with it to try to understand how that can work and what that means. Those parts of the series forced me to think and get into an area that I never thought to enter. With that said, I still don’t understand it nor will ever entertain the idea of being in any polyamorous relationships (which btw, is not the same as polygamy relationships) but it’s definitely something to know and learn to accept that we live in a very diverse world and that is a reality for many people. The one thing that tickles me is these teenagers are a whole lot more mature than when I was at that age or anyone I knew at that age. If they were a lot older (mid to late 20s) I would think the complexities would have made sense (heck, I’m still trying to figure myself out at the ripe old age of old enough to be their parent). But it’s fiction and its creativity, so who am I to judge. I actually stopped the series at about 70-80 chapters in (last I checked it was at 135 or something) and needed a break - maybe not a good idea to power through in one go but great series though. Not sure when I will pick it back up…(I did spoiled myself with the family tree).
  18. I will paste you’re quote: I have written/am currently writing every genre I wanted to write, so let me think about my options here... I believe Fantasy is next on my list. The thought of going deep into world building leaves me nervous. I'm not the best at detail tracking. Such subterfuge and misdirection! You should write a spy novel next!

    Chapter 1

A former war correspondent and somewhat well known author* (who wrote a few fiction stories) said: "The best writing is rewriting". Why? He explained that, "...no one gets things perfect the first (or many) time. Cooks fiddle with recipes. Great painters frequently painted over initial works because they didn't look quite right. Writers remember things they forgot the first time through, want to clarify something, or just say it better". In this 'rewrite' of Halos and Heroes, (Book 1 of Finding Home series) @JJ Quinn takes this idea to heart, and the result is a richer, more intense and more informative look into the life of a unique man, (perhaps someone we've passed by and not given a second thought to). Do you need to read the original to appreciate the changes? No, but those with an 'Editors Eye' to detail, , will find the updates worth the effort put in. * Ernest Hemingway

    Chapter 8

It took a while to explain to Alec and Finn, I seem to remember. Maybe there's a dom/sub phase to this coming up, but I find master/brat enormously easier to read about characters I like. And more fun. Because neither of them loses themselves in their relationship-role. I'm finding that to be something I like a lot about this story... I know it's a romantic comedy (possibly on the wildly sexy side). I Hate This Town spent a long time looking like maybe it was going to be a tragedy. But we can trust have faith in Riv-Ken, Ken-Er, Kenver whatever we're calling this is going to be alright.
