Who would have thunk that beings from alternate galaxies, dimensions, parallel universes, and from parts hither and unknown would ever need one of the most basic sanitary conveniences...humm...unless they are used by Dr Who's telephone boxes??? Carefully opening the door, I found a well lit bathroom. There was a port-a-loo to the left and a plastic shower to the right. Well, even ritual murderers had bodily functions. Having a shower in the cold cellar was probably not pleasant. I wondered how they’d transported these things down here through the narrow staircase. As to the cliffhanger....hang in there @Al Norris

Crisis, Trouble, and More
Lee Wilson commented on Lee Wilson's story chapter in Crisis, Trouble, and More
No need to feel stupid, I it probably wasn't totally obvious. -
The silver Twenty-Twenty Lincoln Navigator turned into the townhouse complex and pulled into the spot next to Brandon’s Hyundai. Linda and her husband, Tom, climbed out of the vehicle, and she locked the doors. As they walked up the stairs, Tom noticed the vehicle parked next to Greg’s truck. The patriarch whistled as he pointed at it and said, “Babe, look at the CJ7.” Linda turned her head and nodded. “I’ve never seen another one like it before. It’s definitely unique,” she said.

Oh, okay, it was meant that literally. I feel stupid now 😬🤦♂️😅

I wanted it to be way overboard. I'm afraid, I don't get this one The singer Meat Loaf sang a song 'Two Out of Three Ain't Bad." Two of the three people that I mentioned Cal still having, aside from Karl, she'd still have. It was a slight foreshadowing of Stephanie's departure. -
i will do that, Michael.

Thank you, k. I know there are no easy answers. I remember when I worked at the bank, people would complain about homeless people who huddled where the ABMs were. Often, they don't help themselves and can be rude. Not all end up like that, but many do. I get it. There is something wrong in our world. I don't have the answers, but I agree that governments must help their populations. There are indigenous people here who live in shacks and don't have running water or clean water. We need to fix ourselves before fixing everyone else.

Yes, Stephanie went pretty much off the tracks. I don't know if she's the worst character, but definitely very hateable. -
The people of Timberford were huddled around the tavern. In spite of night’s encroachment their voices rang with excitement, not fear. No sooner had Crowe and Barghast broke from the line of trees, the crowd was at them, raised not in shouts of accusation but triumph. “You did it…You defeated the beast…” “You can heal the sick. Monad has sent you to save us from the darkness…” “The herald is here at last.” “Twin o’rre!” Barghast reached for him through the press of bodies bu

Thank you for reading them. I'm glad you liked 2. As the author, it's very clear I wasn't sure whether people would get it, but I'm delighted that some did. Thanks again for your comments and for reading these.

Such lovely work—as @chris191070 says, wonderful. I'm glad you tried the Senryu. The alliteration poems made me smile, as did day 15. Thank you for all of these. -
This is such sad news. Comsie is the main reason I became a gay teen author. I was an avid fan, and when I began to write, he read my first stories. He encouraged me to continue. He saw the potential that I didn't know then that I had. It was a great honor when he featured me in the May 2021 issue of his Imagine Magazine. He was a G.O.A.T. and I will miss him dearly.

Brohm led them past countless rows of barracks containing an untold number of sleeping troops. Spying around a corner, he waited for a patrol to move out of range. Once clear, he held Nathan close, and aided him across the road to the cover of shadow. “How do we get out of here?” Nathan whispered. “We’re almost there. That big wall ahead is the edge of the compound.” They reached another holding point and waited for another patrol to move on. “Go.” Brohm nearly dragged h

This is such a shock and a great loss. Lets just get on with the day and remember.

Nope. Never had a hot teacher… well my history teacher in high school was hot but time was not good to him. Never have I ever made a deal with the devil.

Oh, the cliffhanger. It is a wonderful tool from the writer's toolbox. It is used here beautifully. This chapter is excellent and leaves us wanting and with more questions than answers. There will be a lot of people waiting for the next. Great job, my friend.

Also, Mike is a Special Constable; he really should know better than to expect more. Thinking back, especially early in our relationship, I wondered why my Husband didn't trust me more. Eventually, I realized it's not about trust; it's about duty.
