  2. So, if there's a Capitol bombing, you'd want a President Tom Kirkman?
  3. Manchester, UK πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§
  4. If they're anything like me, they voted independent. Or at least not blindly voting the party line. I guess I'm pan-political, so therefore, so are my characters. Vote for the person. Hehe.

    Chapter 7

First, they have to find Stanley!
  6. Injecting a bit of magic, eh? Who would have thought...
  7. Clickbait, surprise people that you actually deliver, "I told you so"β€”like that? Him, panicking over that might be happening, and considering, taking respective actions before that happens, would be very much in line with the first chapters, though. I really had to wrap my head about it essentially being a Sci-fi story without any Sci-fi content ^^ Do we really wanna know who/which party each of them voted for? paternal, mind you πŸ˜‰ Looks like someone has rhythm in their feet πŸ‘
  8. True. Not even in real life is every loose end resolved. I try to "close the book" as it were, but I also realized there may very well be more story to tell. We shall see what happens after I finish the one I'm currently working on.
  9. Happy World Penguin Day !!!

  10. Thank you @Lee Wilson for a proper wrap up to your latest book in this series (jeez there's a hint?) As an editor and reader I appreciate 'properly' written stories, with a beginning, middle and an end that wraps things up. (Or as my first English prof put it: "Say what you are going say; Say it; Say that you said it"). Your epilogue pretty much ties up most of the "loose ends", but like many sweaters, there's always a thread or two that if pulled will start to unravel, revealing? As you said that might be a story featuring Bart and Noah and their 'challenged' ("minor disabilities") sons; perhaps with various types of help from their cousins, Karl-3, Barry, Calvin, 'Little' Jason, or Carla and Billy and their 4 children? Doctor Carlo mentions "I made another mistake during a group session and lost my license to practice psychiatry" (meaning the State revoked it, not him simply resigning?). Well they all survived to 2038, (not a Presidential election year, yeah). Carlo and Brand are in their early (?) sixties and as Brendan's father showed, longevity is in the genes (note I didn't go for easy pun), so Book 3 is within reach? Little Jason's math skills, could he be the next Warren Buffet? Sharing his knowledge brings the whole extended family along?). And now we, your fans, wait patiently ... Stay well.

  12. Parker Owens

    Chapter 1

Thank you for your kind and generous comments. I decided to use both metaphorical and actual apples as my subjects; it seemed good to widen my scope. I hope you had an excellent snack.
  13. You're quite welcome. I appreciate all the comments and compliments. As long as I keep having ideas, I'll keep at it.
  14. Dan South

    Chapter 7

Seems to me Phil’s experience as a counselor may be useful with Stanley’s situation. Love that the guys took him out to lunch.
  15. Hey, Bill. Thanks for reading and commenting. I'm pleased to hear you enjoyed these... and yes, they are vastly different, and I hoped that one balanced the other for most readers. "Mendacity" is definitely scary... it reveals my fear as much as anything else. The truth used to be an absolute, and now it has become something tied to perception. THAT is truly scary. Breathless is personal, but it is also a message to those who hide behind their screens and forgo interaction with others. That seems to be more prevalent in these times, and my experience is there is no substitute for real physical intimacy... nor for the chase. Cheers, my friend.
  16. Once again, thanks for taking the time to gift us with your craft, it is appreciated!!

    Chapter 9

Ok--another layer is slowly building. Danae, the young 15 year old rebel, is being sent to Paidos, which is seen as the hinterlands from civilized society, to reform herself and grow up as a more complacent lady. I do not think this plan will work.
  18. This new retreat is/has covered all the angles so it would seem, I jest...including the end of the world...
  19. This is the wonderful story of Carlo and Brandon. You really need to read this story and follow there adventures. We meet plenty of interesting people over the course of the story. Give it a read today.

Simply loved the last paragraph, it is after all what friends are for!! β€œI think you’ll find the word is Lesbian”, there were grins all round at Hughie’s intervention, but it was a trap they were all trying not to fall into. On a lively night out, the chance of getting away with an evening without the use of the word faggot, queer, fairy or poofter was difficult. The irony was that it affected Keith’s mates more than him, he was aware that whatever the liveliness of their language, they had his back when it was most important.
  21. Thye grand scope and potential for the country retreat has now become apparent. Oscar will have some serious thinking to undertake and has the time to plan and learn as he grows.I hope his need for couseling ends with him in a well balanced situation. Will his parents present a problem to him at some point? The retreat might be something they want to control --especially if his grandparents die. too soon before Oscar becomes an adult.
