    Chapter 7

I love this story and this amazing chapter. The boys are pulling Phil into the present by taking him out of the centre and in the process making him feel younger. I liked him paying for his haircut. It allowed Phil show a level of independence that he was largely denied in his daily life in the centre. The chapter also raised the reality of gay teenage suicide and hinted that even in retirement you can be in a toxic relationship. I hope more comes of Phil's meeting with Gary. I don't live in USA but I remember where I was when I heard about Kennedy's assassination. His death was a shock and he was mourned here in Australia as well as USA.
  3. Is it possible for his nose to be longer than he is tall? 🤔

  6. The journey was agonizingly slow going. Cenya's determination was no match for the uneven terrain of the woods. Still, for a crippled woman with only one leg she maneuvered around her disabilities far better than Tannhaus who breathed like a wounded animal, stopping every several feet to clutch at his heaving sides. He glared resentfully at Crowe and Barghast who watched him with matching frowns of disapproval. “I can hear what you're thinking,” Tannhaus said through gritted teeth. “You probably

    Chapter 4

    Thanks for your novel.
  8. I have earned.. tenosynovitis which is an inflamed tendon sheath rather than the tendon itself. I'm not sure if the treatment will be the same but I will find out next Tuesday. I also earned a few other unexpected things with big long Latin names that weren't on the radar.. boils down to some sort of cyst in the middle of my foot and a bunch of arthritis. Aging... yay... not. I have little faith that this will be healing any time soon. Hope everyone has a good night!

    Chapter 5

I help to operate and maintain another gay story website. I've written a couple of what I now consider 'fluff' pieces. I've even ghostwritten a few scenes for other authors in their stories (almost always combat action scenes). I've often asked how they develop the plot, etc. Contrary to what some of the professional writers will tell us, most often the answer I get is that the characters drive the story. The characters tell the author what to write. Many of the better writers here at GA all say the same thing. If Peter's story seems to be realistic and true to life, it is because of the voices in my head tell me what to write.
  10. Hopefully, no more in the near future. Three in a year is enough.
  11. Hopefully not a bad reputation. Money is preferred.

    Chapter 5

That looks it would perform the task painfully and efficiently @drsawzall. Just what De Douchebag "ordered".
  13. I'm surprised you haven't made more mistakes (who is talking to whom) than what I've caught! I can't imagine the size of your character sheet(s).
  14. Is Chapter Thirteen showing up at all for readers? I published it today after unpublishing it...I tried to schedule when it was published as soon as I posted Chapter Twelve and must have made a mistake. I published Chapter Thirteen and it says the story hasn't been updated since the 19th. Honestly, this website has gotten so glitchy over the past few years. If you are having problems finding it, I also post at these sites. Links below:

    Chapter 7

I was ten in 1963, and my older sister graduated high school in 63 like Phil, but she was a freshman in college, but hundreds of miles away. As I was growing up, I was amazed by the stories my parents and grandparents shared about their lives, and the history they had witnessed first hand. My grandparents grew up from an Amish back grown and moved to our area (about 70 miles away) living on a train taking their farm animals with them. They said they lived in the train car for 3 days. They had bought a farm house but it had to be moved to their land about 3/4 of a mile down the dirt road. They had rigged the house to be moved rolling on logs, moved by mules and a pulley system, and lived in the house as it was pulled to its current location. It took many weeks. Talk about culture shock and history. No electricity, indoor plumbing, just a hard life, yet lived to see man walk on the moon and beyond. Sorry for rambling, but I too see reflections in the windows that @Ronyx has well crafted for us and hope everyone can also. It is a bit of a shock when our lives become history and the world moves on for future generations.
