I love how this story and all of the character's relationships are evolving, Phil is moving on from being a grumpy, moody, and lonely patient, to actively being involved in the world and people around him. There are sure to be many more window reflections for all of us yet to see. Most likely to include Phil's son, Stanley , and the shared stories of the two new friends and counselors. As stated so well by @Summerabbacat.

-Parasitic Worms
Parasitic worms can cure or alleviate allergies and suppress the autoimmune system. Scientists believe that allergies are caused by the part of the immune system which originally fought intestinal parasites. They just go wild in the absence of parasites.

Also sometimes known as Festival of Smoke and Mirrors Day, this unofficial holiday is celebrated annually on March 29. Smoke and mirrors is an English language phrase that is used to describe things and actions that are deceptive, manipulative, or lack complete explanation. Act of Illusion Usually associated with illusionists and magicians, it is thought that the phrase originated from the classic act of illusion where a magician makes objects or people appear or disappear by using smokes and mirrors as a distraction. Because of this, the phrase is often used to refer to actions that distract from the reality or cover up the truth. Things That Do Not Exist In computing, the term smoke and mirrors is often used to refer to programs that seem to exist, but in reality do not. Mirror Magic Magic as a performance art has been used to entertain people around the world since ancient times. In smoke and mirror magic tricks, magicians create optical illusions by diverting a spectator's attention away from the actions that create the "magic". Mirrors are also often used to create illusions by manipulating light and using the properties of reflection and refraction. Some of the popular magic tricks using mirrors include the Sphinx and the Vampire. In both tricks, mirrors are used to hide the object, usually the head of a person. How to Celebrate? Learn some magic tricks and entertain your friends and colleagues. Preferably try to use smoke and mirrors in your tricks. Spend some time learning about how to achieve illusions using mirrors. We sat at the counter, right next to the grill. The cook was a young man who was very busy flipping pancakes. Every so often, he would stop and hit the grill with the handle of the spatula. Finally I asked him facetiously, "Does that improve the taste of the pancakes?" "No," he replied. "That keeps the handle from falling off." *** Searching in my library for two books by communications expert Deborah Tannen turned into an Abbott and Costello routine. "What's the first book?" the librarian asked. "That's Not What I Meant," I said. "Well, what did you mean?" "That's the title of the book," I explained. "Okay." She looked at me a little skeptically. "And the other book?" "You Just Don't Understand." "Excuse me?" I got both books. Yes @CincyKris Andre is showing courage and determination because of his emotional connect to Ollie. You'll have to wait for positive changes. Will the police keep Ollie away from them until after the trial? Will they be allowed to be foster parents? Stay tuned

Christmas over, it was back to the grind on Tuesday. Fred met with Percival Martin to talk about Mo's and potentially Burton's lawsuits. "Hi Percival. Conrad suggested I talk to you about possible wrongful imprisonment lawsuits." "Yes, he warned me. I understand you have three for sure. Any idea on how many others?" "Three?" "You're obviously forgetting yourself." "Oh. Wow. I guess you're right." Percival raised an eyebrow. "Yes, you're definitely right. I'd sa

Points of View - The Ultimate Personification of an Object
Cole Matthews posted a blog entry in Writing World
Points of view are so important in stories. As writers, we have to pretend to be someone else, feel what they feel, and ache with their longings. As an exercise, let's pretend to be something not alive. You can fill the object with whatever you feel or think. The object will become a character, a witness, and your sounding board. #215 - You are a porch swing. You must describe the events that unfold around you, but only during times of great emotion. That's when you awaken. #216 - You are a potato chip bag alongside a city street. You tumble and blow from place to place. What do you see? Please include the prompt number either in your story/chapter description or title to help readers who would like to search for specific prompts. Also, please remember that stories less than one thousand words must be posted as part of a collection. If you check the subgenre 'prompt' in your story tags, then people/readers can find everything here: https://gayauthors.org/stories/browse/subgenre/prompt/ -

@chris191070 and @VBlew you are not wrong. This abuse could have continued from possible before Andre up to Ollie. Hopefully that will sway a judge when handing down a sentence.

Good on them wanting to foster Oliver, he needs stability back. A well written chapter, enough detail given to tell us this sex predator had a pattern and abused many kids.

Sound like this predator had a pattern and Andre was not the only one molested. Hopefully more people will come forward and he’ll be in jail permanently. Good on them wanting to foster Oliver, wonder if the mother knew what was happening and if the court would relieve her of parental rights…

Kayaking on lake and estuary is like entering a secret world. A hair's breadth above the surface, you can one moment be charging the open azure spaces on the map forbidden to cars, bikes and feet; the next silently slinking along the watery fingers that caress the backyards of the wealthy. It's one of the only times I truly forget all my fears and relish my life. So yes. But not bungee jumping. Screw that. Never have I ever kayaked on the open ocean. Fjord, lake, river, pond creek estuary, yes, but not open ocean. Yet
