    Chapter 4

This was also a new part that made me giggle because I can see it in my head so clearly. Sam all big, bad and dangerous, and also as sulky as a 3 year old, while Ben doesn't miss a beat. _________________________________________ Awkward wasn’t a strong enough word for the situation and I should’ve kept my mouth shut, but apparently stung pride was a snarky bitch. “You said I was hot,” I grumbled beneath my breath. “Because you are hot,” Ben said again, not missing a beat “Just like puppies are cute and people in hell crave ice water. They’re all just facts and none of them equate you and I in bed together. Not tonight.”
  3. “It’s not much,” Lyoth said to Stawren, “but this is my home planet.” The Galaxy Surfer was in orbit above an almost entirely green sphere. “See the one big lake?” Lyoth asked. He continued without awaiting her reply. “It’s called Lake Iggatio. It’s the largest body of water on Jitha. Oh, and you can see the ice cap; it’s on the southern pole, which means it’s summer up north where I’m from.” The monitor in front of Stawren beeped. “The ship is picking up the two cities you me
  4. Very true @Zuri. However to me "I'm making Stephanie tell them," sounds more like being vindictive than trusting.

    Chapter 4

I'm giggling.... I'm so glad youre enjoying the revision Cane. It makes me feel like it really was the right thing to do for the sake of the story because it ties in more strongly to the segue now. Wait till the next chapter...I'm sure you remember Sam offering to do penance on his knees lol. Doesn't happen but a lot more snark and dialogue does. Sam is more mouthy this time around and Ben is just as sharp. After writing JFH and filling in Ben's past as much as I did, it totally changed him in my head which is one of the reasons I had to rewrite Halos. Someone with his ahem...past and skills...wouldn't have made it as far as he did without some major game. Just because he has the collar on doesn't mean it disappeared lol. Poor Sam! It makes my heart wag it's tail that you picked up on all the new dialogue. The scene where he flips Ben off is from the original, but Ben's commentary and all the dialogue between Sam and the bartenders is new. Again, just wanting to round the world out more realistically and set more blocks in motion for future character development in this story and novels to come. It's not a series in the traditional sense, but the stories all take place in the same world wirh recurring characters in each in supporting roles around whomever the 2 main characters are. Thank you for continuing to support me my friend!
  6. Ken had barely finished reading the un-encrypted warning letters, when one of the precinct cops interrupted him. “We found Bart Pearl,” he said. “Okay, let’s go to my desk.” As soon as they were back at Ken’s desk, he asked, “Did you bring him in?” “No. He couldn’t possibly have committed the murders.” “Why not? How do you know?” Because the guy is wheelchair bound. He could not have negotiated the four steps which lead to the entrance of the building Hamm lived in,

    Chapter 21

I have loved this story!! I really hope you will be able to finish it…❤️
  8. Omg, poor Tyler! After reading that, that was all I can think of to put here.

    Chapter 4

Hah the heat will come eventually. It's a preview of things to come, but still a slow burn because Sam is stubborn and doesn't want to get emotionally involved while Ben refuses to get between the sheets without emotion. You're going to see some eyebrow raising revelations from Ben next chapter lol. Anyone whose read the original knows how checkered Ben's past is and why it means he's more passionate promise and hope than prudish piety. He's also stubborn as a mule so Sam has zero chance. Thank you for taking the time to comment!

    Chapter 15

I'm afraid you'll have to wait to see if Ollie finds out about Andre and the abuse. Not a spoiler alert but the teens do continue to bond.
  11. “You two have incredibly strange foreplay. I am confused and aroused all at once.” Says the goblin man while surreptitiously stealing glances at his emo goblin boy. You know, the one with bloody (someone else's ofc) spikes in his hair... I gotta ask man, aside from Wren - who clearly likes it multiple ways - are all the bottoms in this story destined to be some degree needy masochist/bloodthirsty tyrant/serious brat, or is that just a trick of the light? Not complaining - at all - just curious... And for all that goblin man seems to exude big top energy (not really) I think he'd tremble quite enticingly under a certain someone's heated gaze. Old king whatsit is such a freaking boomer. Really looking forward to him being shown the light (ah man, crack my own self up sometimes haha). But not right this minute obviously. He needs to be allowed to reallytrulycompletely get on Kal's last nerve first. And given how excellently our Sunbeam seperates business & pleasure - little man has grown up! - it'll take a while yet. But it's coming *shivers in anticipation* Poor Talon, must be hard having to be such a good boy when all he really wants to do is blow shit up. And now he's not even allowed to drop everything (he did remember to find a babysitter - that should be like a million extra best-daddy points right there) to come save his love from absolutely zero threat at all? For shame. Oh well, he'll have a month (haha nope) to contemplate the error of his ways. On a more serious note, the depth and multi-layeredness to & of this story needs a quick mention, yeah? No matter how easy skilled writers make it seem, it's a hell of a lot harder than one can imagine to successfully build a character over the course of a story unfolding without losing the threads of who they were, are & have yet to become, let alone their place/purpose in the story. Doing that with multiple - multifaceted, independent, autonomous, multidimensional - characters throughout three (3) vastly different novel-length, action packed, arcs whilst also ensuring that every single plot point/event/emotion/interaction/exchange is artfully expressed and fully accounted for, without dropping the ball on anything? That, in all seriousness, takes a level of mastery seldom seen, even in professional circles. And that this is accomplished without the assistance of a team of editors, proofreaders and the like only adds more weight to an already heavy crown. I mean, even with adequate assistance & a safety-net, just keeping the most basic story with the most rudimentary of characters/plotlines going without it all going tits up is beyond the reach of most. Which makes having access to all this awesome even more of a privilege. Anyway man, all I'm really trying to say is, you're really good at this Demiurge, and your story totally rocks. Thank you for sharing it.
  12. That would be my concern if I left the explaining and rectification of a breakup to the one I blame for it. But Karl seems to still trust her that much.
  13. I see a few issues here. Karl says Stephanie had become a "bitch", presumable to him but, he acknowledges that the children will miss her after the divorce. Maybe she's not the perfect mother but Karl is very much the absent father (away 40% of the time) and certainly not perfect. He's "making Stephanie" explain the divorce. The way I see it, they should both have been there to explain it to the children and what would happen with them. Who knows what she would tell them. Maybe even that Daddy was taking them away from her. The most important people in a divorce are the children. They are the innocent victims in divorce. Who has full custody is a technicality. What is important is the relationship the children continue to have (or not have) with their parents.

    Chapter 15

I'm not generally a bloodthirsty person, but when kids and animals are abused, I wish the worst on the offenders. I'm hoping that the child molester gets shivved in jail before he puts the victims through the extra pain of a trial. I'm also wondering if there will be tension between Andre and Ollie when Andre's secret is revealed to him. Andre already feels guilty. I'm hoping the reveal to the family goes well. On a lighter note, the teens are having a great time and bonding well. I think Jackson will fit in well. I am also a dark chocolate fan, I only care for milk chocolate if caramel and nuts are involved, but even then would prefer it to be dark. I have never had Tim Tams, but don't really care for packaged cookies. But a big breakfast is a cherished treat!
  15. Buenos dias, Alberto! Thanks for the present. I promise I'll take good care of him.
  16. That will be much more obvious after the next chapter.
  17. Well, better safe than sorry on the warnings. I guess I'm not able to do too many chapters before bad news arises. I never knew about the Beatles kids. Interesting.
  18. Good morning, children. Hope everyone had a restful night, and that you're having an easy day. B and T, same to you, but the other way around.

    Chapter 12

Thank you for the wonderful feedback, and it's true. The big family holidays we used to celebrate, even when my kids were younger, got much harder once they grew up. Then we became spread apart, with some of us living in the northeast, southeast, and far west. If you noticed, the grand parents weren't there, either due to health or distance, although the boys and their parents were there.. And once the boys graduate from college and get jobs, there's a good chance they won't be able to have those celebrations any longer, at least until their sons are grown and they're forced to move to the cabin, where they'll be near both sets of parents again.
  20. Thanks for the input. I know personally it's not all crisis focused. All of my recent visits have been checking in, is the medication still doing its job?
