Al, I think I also comment in previous chapters how Mac explained that when he and Devin were younger, Devin would always stick up for him and even do the fighting when Mac was bullied. I think Devin was learning it wasn't the size of the dog in the fight, but the size of the fight in the dog - or person.

Finally a breakdown, not pleasant but a necessity, now he has more or less got rid of his demon mother and can now build himself up to what he is and can be going into the future, a very enlightening chapter, a great story, thanks you

Transitioning into a Ninja wouldn't automatically supply him with the skills the Ninja had acquired after years of practice. It's different with animals, because he only acquires instinctive behavior, not learned behavior. That would be acquired over time. Yes, with some couples it is common to alternate invitations to dinner, but not with every person you have over for a meal. Eventually, however, you'd probably stop inviting those people over, unless you were merely doing it as a good Samaritan.

Having grown up in a loving home, and having done my best to provide one to my own kids, Pete’s mother’s behavior is unfathomable to me. I do know that it happens to too many children in real life. My heart goes out to Pete and every other victim of this type of parental abuse, real or fictional. I’ll be rooting for Pete through the rest of this story.

Please forgive me if this sounds ignorant but when I heard Devin talk about being bullied I was thinking if he can transform into animals and assume their characteristics and also turn into big humans I would think he could have turned into a ninja and retain the martial arts they know wouldn't it be possible? I don't know where its wandering, as long as it isn't anywhere near where I live.

I believe his dad, Gramps, and Pops were trying to teach him to stand up for himself, despite his size. It's a trait he would need when transitioning into some animals in the wild, and he wouldn't last long unless he learned not to let his size prevent him from standing up for himself. It also kept Devin from appearing a threat to any of his peers, that way they would never suspect him if he had to occasionally transition into his larger alter ego.

A very relaxed and enjoyable combined family Christmas leading into New Year. It's nice that both families have accepted that the boys will be lifetime partners. I'm pleased that Devin will "grow" to be a similar height to Mac. Should help him a lot. Enjoyable reading.

What a wonderful Christmas for Devin and Mac with both of their families. I didn't quite follow the reasoning for Devin staying small, especially as he was being bullied about his size. It didn't make a lot of sense to me. They really should have let him grow, at least as tall as the median height of the other kids.
