I knew he wasn't in the best of health, but I'd assumed he was busy recovering, working on physical therapy, etc. I just...I can't believe he's gone. 😢 The world looks a little less bright without you, Comsie. Rest in peace, my friend.

What shocking news. Comsie was a legend I found sweet to deal with. Our interactions were few, but you'd have to be a fool not to see the profound impact he had on online writing. His readers were absolutely devoted to him, and one thing I am sure of... he was way too young to leave us. Still, he left one hell of a mark all the same. RIP, Comsie, and my condolences to those who were close to him.

I've been losing my composure on and off all night trying to post announcements and reach out to close friends. I found Comsie in late 97 back when we were all trying to figure out this new box in our house that let us find all kinds of cool stuff all around the world as long as no one needed to use the phone I forget exactly where I found him, Nifty archive or the little page he had created on one of those little "Build your own web page" sites that were popping up all over the place at the time. I read the couple of chapters of Gone From Daylight that he had written and emailed him to let him know that I loved it and couldn't wait to see where it was going. 28 years later I would still be waiting and tonight can't believe I now know where it ends 😪 Rest in Peace "Comet" - When I come to join you, I'm going to bug you for that ending! I'd imagine someone like Connor would have temper problems. Maybe it's inherited or just normalized by seeing it so much growing up, but I don't think he'd have an understanding of various coping skills and such.
