  1. “I can never eat a whole dessert,” Ashlee turned back and smiled at Clem as they left the restaurant, “thanks for sharing with me, Sugar.” “Any time you like,” Clem let the door close behind them, and settled his leather jacket over his shoulders. If watching Ashlee eat was fun and distracting, then sharing food with him was downright erotic. The young man had bit the end of his thumb gently and asked Clem to share with him in the most adorable manner, and then taken the extra fork away so they only had one with which to share the rich and tangy lemon tart. 2. MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!! I know not everyone celebrates Christmas, and if you celebrate something different, then I hope you have a very happy holiday! Over the last couple of weeks I've been asking members to share their holiday stories with me so that I could compile a Christmas Reading List. While many may not have time over the coming days to read, some may want to sit back, relax, and read. With that in mind, what better to read this time of year than holiday stories? I hope you find something you enjoy in the following list of stories!

Can’t you stop being a pig? How ’bout you read me the Moore poem the way he wrote it?” “Hmmm, you want me to stop being a pig?” The innocence in Jordan’s tone was not convincing; he knew what he was doing. “Okay, well, maybe not really stop. How about suspending it for the next hour?” “Fine! But my cock’s not stirring at all. I’m a t

It was a converted attic and, as a result, had a sharply sloped ceiling that began about a foot and a half into the room and ended when it met the floor. One large window rose in a sheltered cutout that only served to increase the uncomfortable temperature that was always present. There was a desk off to the right covered with papers that I'd noticed the first time I'd come in that seemed to be just as messy now, and a circular table fit for the vertically challenged filled the center of the room. The left ha

I started the rhyme over, making my little gingerbread man dance. “Oh yeah. Shake that booty!” Startled, I dropped the cookie and straightened up, throwing a look over my shoulder. The lights from the Christmas tree probably weren’t hiding the fact my face was flushed. “Uh….” “Sorry. I couldn’t resist.” The stranger winked. “Sydney!” the twins shrieked as they raced around the table and jumped on him. He caught them b

  12. The small band that had been selected to complete this mission began its journey with a very secretive and unceremonious departure from Leander. There was no pomp or celebration to launch this expedition, as would be fitting a person of Kieren’s rank. Instead, everything was carried out to mask their true intentions and avoid arousing suspicion about their travels. In fact, the wizard had taken every precaution possible to avoid bringing undue attention to any of the members of the party as they departed. Beraut had determined that it would be best if those who had arrived at the capital

The production assistant clipped a small lavaliere microphone to my lapel, and strung the wires within my jacket. “Remember to speak in that direction,” He said as a makeup artist approached me. She took out her kit and started touching up my face. I waited for her to finish. She gave me a thumbs-up before I took my seat. One of the production assistants instructed me on what camera to look at. The Interview would take ten minutes then I would take questions from the audience. A producer started to count down with his hands and the lights went up. I noticed the audience for the first time. T

There is still time for him to write a grand church song based on it (but alas, not for my nuptials). I hope you can all send out some positive energy to help motivate him. 19. Chapter 4 After a few weeks, Matt and Mikey had exchanged a few e-mails, but nothing specific. Families were doing OK, and the rest was just banter. Matt wanted to talk to him about life, about Rachel, about Mikey's life in Maryland, about anything but mundane crap -- but Matt felt so awkward. To Matt, in certain ways, Mikey was still a little kid. Clearly though, these e-mail exchanges were the highlights of Matt's day. Cohen started to pick up on it, but her inquiries were shut down, and not politely. However, Matt started to realize he didn't have that many social outlets outside of

He rolled Eastwyck out of the scuppers, and saw the blood staining his chest. “Here, my lord, let us get him below,” one of the loblolly boys said. The glorious jock usually never hesitated to use any and every chance to paw him whenever he felt like it, but now he seemed actually frightened to do so. Had Darwin been too snappy in that gas station bathroom? Or maybe his wolf had driven Jared away, just as promised. Whatever the reason, Darwin could sense Jared throw glances at him here and there, but he never did anything more than that. Jared eve

Another barbecue was arranged, this time on the beach beside the lake. Afterwards a little campfire was built at the edge of the lake around which we had naturally congregated. We were all getting on as one big group now, as though we’d known each other for years. I felt as though we’d all come here together as friends… I felt like I knew everyone. Birds twittered in the trees, their song lifting his soul. Lyzel’s joyous laugh mingled with that of the birdsong, a beautiful counterpoint. She was so light he almost couldn’t feel her clinging to his back, but he was ever aware of her loving presence. “I would not have imagined a place so wild and beautiful still existed on this earth,” she said, using their mind link. “It is amazing,” he agreed. “I wonder how long it will take K-Corp to destroy it

He knew that arriving at our destination meant he would have to talk and so far the journey had been pretty quiet, broken only by my request to charge my phone through the adapter he had plugged into the lighter socket. He let me of course. I hadn’t used my phone much, so it still had quite a lot of battery life left, but going to the village meant there was a chance of getting a better signal and maybe even checking Facebook or calling my mum. Jeff Beck’s Freeway Jam was playing in his tape deck. Mississippi was behind him now. He had learned a lot, made many friends, some of them he even loved, but that was just a stop on his journey. It was a very pretty creature, a classic dark brown and white appaloosa out of the same mare that had birthed Nathan’s own very best equine friend Cayman, and Clem had no doubts once trained up as a reining horse or a rodeo steed, the

People move in and out of cars and buildings, they shop, they talk and live out their lives.” People are oblivious at the beauty our world gives us as the clouds in the sky slowly move away and the sun takes away the light. It's so unlike my life. I stand still when everything moves. They said I had a car accident that took my memory. They said I was a gifted writer and that I had written a novel based on my life before the accident. Every

I literally felt like I had been hit by a train…possibly several times. It was safe to say my brain wasn’t firing on all cylinders and it took me a moment to realise what had woken me. It was the sounds of my friends, obviously outside the tent, enquiring as to where I might be. “I think he crashed in Adam’s tent last night. Although the mission he was on was urgent, it was not so pressing that he couldn’t afford a few moments to enjoy the serenity and brilliance the forest offered the weary traveler. So far his order had been the biggest and the most time consuming order of the season. Well for me it still is, although it happened over a year ago. I always loved vampires, dressed up as a vampire on All Hollows Eve, yet I'd never thought they really existed. To be honest, even now there is a small part in me that still doubts their... our existence. I could easily prove it to myself though, and I admit, I ha
