  1. My first fling was with a guy I grew up with. I was infatuated and he was confused. My first love was a cute guy at work. He was bullied for being gay, and I hopped up and defended him. Ended up blasting out of the closet just to help.

  2. I came to GA in search of stories that held a plot line containing gay characters, which I rarely found elsewhere. I enjoy putting myself in the character's shoes, and it is hard to do so with mainstream literature, especially on a budget. What I found was a community that cared about the written word as a whole rather than a collection of stories and reviews. In the end I found a community of people that helped me through some of the toughest times in my life as well as fostering a talent I didn't know I had.

  3. I personally pick an editor I can accept work from.... Grammar might be mean, or non-existent, but I'd still like to see it.  Authors should at least acknowledge, though? I would think editors could say something too, though.  In my experience, that is a 50/50, at least a little bit.  Editing credit... credit is due.  Not asking for credit if I didn't take advice?  Well, if you felt wronged, don't dare, but sometimes an editor's work reassures an author's thought... (and was worth credit all along)

  4. Karl will be one that is sorely missed, that is for sure.  He was without a doubt one of the coolest GA members that I've ran across and was never afraid to stay in your corner when the chips were down.  He personally helped me out through one of the worst times in my life, and am honored to be able to call him my friend. Even through the pain, he remained vibrant and optimistic. Rest in peace Karl. In won't be the same here without you.

  5. Hate to go against my Cardinals, but if they (San Fran) were good enough to whoop em, they were good enough to win the series. < Don't ever quote me on that, cause there is a good chance I'll forget saying that next season :D I will say that I didn't watch any of the World Series games after the Cards lost. Daddydavek's been on the ball keeping me informed, hehe.

  6. I believe the same, and I'm working on opening a dialog with him cause I really REALLY want an ending to the story. I read 159 chapters.... I better get the ending, lol. In all honesty, he seems like a great dude. Guess all I can do is try my 'houdinii' magic on em, and pray for the best :D

  7. With age comes, well,... no comment... I did laugh about it, so hard I tipped backwards and fell over on my guitar,,smashed it to bits. I have a feeling that tears will be shed later...

  8. Well, we (the Cards, I think I just joined their organization) are the come back kings... Tis why I wasn't bothered by a 5-0 lead by the opposition. We've came back from 11-0 in extra innings (18 I think) to prove that point. I was up til about 2 am watching that game. No Doubt, It's Red Bird Season :D Now we have to get our clutch hitters, aka Molina, and Freese to hit with men on. Make that boi MVP 2 years straight :D

  9. I just think we didn't want the SF crowd to feel left out.... Sunday's the day.... :D And Krista, seriously, a FB Post in a baseball post?!? Shame, shame!! :P I did like Wainwright's no walks in the 4th game though. Didn't get to watch Sat. game.... must be the reason they lost Posted Image

  10. Dang, Sunshine, the journey's almost over, I don't want to get off this ride. I hated Dex and Riley the entire time, but I knew Spencer was going to have his redemption. I sure hope Artie gets his ass whooped by someone, though. That boy deserves it. Wouldn't mind seeing Spencer get a little jailhouse justice from D & R but I guess that ship has sailed. Anyway, kudos on a great story. Aside from a few huge authors here, I gotta say this novel was the best I've read, and if a story deserves a publishing, it's definitely this one :D

  11. Little worried about Carpenter, he's still hurting, but I'm sure it will be a good outing. As for last night, WAY TO GO CARDS!! :D I did like watching all the field plays, it's def. October, lol.

  12. Alabama took care of Mizzou, much to my chagrin.

The Cards win last night was something of a continuation of their play in October of 2011. Conner's remarks about Daniel Descalso and Pete Kozma are right on. The bottom of the batting order sure contributed! The Cards had to scratch and chip all the way after spotting the Nationals a 6 run lead. With the turnover in personnel including the retirement of La Russa, Pujols going for California gold and then the injuries with Chris Carpentar, Lance Berkman and Furcal going down it was a tough season. The Cardinals took advantage of the expanded wild card and went on to beat the Nationals who had the best record during the regular season.

The NLCS will be tough as I expect the Giants have as much momentum as the Cards and their Park has always given the Cards some trouble.

If I had my druthers, for the 2012 World Series I'd of course like to see the Card vs. Yankees with the Cards winning in 7

I'm fully planning on a yankee vs. cards series.... that would be epic... (I have money on the game, hehe...)
