  1. A team of Danish scientists and a local compressor company have designed and built an emergency respirator, which can be made relatively cheaply from components not used in conventional respirators (to avoid competing with production of those). The ventilator has been approved by the Danish Health authorities, and the specs have been made freely available. Hopefully, this can help in the current corona crisis. (link to the news in Danish)

If it can provide cheap and easy CPAP (Positive air ventilation, the stage before full ventilation) this will greatly help. If people can get CPAP early it may prevent them having to be fully ventilated.

This is good news, and we need that so much.

Every little bit helps. Let us hope everyone willingly steps up to help.

@Drew Payne  I'm glad you think it's helful and good news. That's why i wanted to share the story here.

  2. Thanks for reading my Cardmaker story, even if it's unfinished. I hope the other stories in the series will amuse you too.

  3. Thank you for reading and liking my Clueless Camping story.

You are welcome! Thank you for writing it...

  4. I just noticed a couple of awesome numbers on the front story page. We've just gone past the 40,000 story chapters mark, and the 5,000 stories line was crossed 22 stories ago, Also, we need less than 999 comments to hit 300,000 in total. :great: isn't it ?

Have a safe and happy New Year.

      We're POPULAR!!

  5. I love the way we can sort our activity by type. It helped me check my story reviews and story comments for extra empty lines, so I could remove them. :2thumbs:
However, I'm not sure I'll get all my chapter comments (268 pages) or topic posts (299 pages) edited for double lines. :o

That would be quite an undertaking. :P

  6. For those of you who have read and enjoyed Diego's Dance with Death, @aditus and I wrote a short prequel based on @comicfan's most recent prompt: https://gayauthors.org/story/aditus/prickly-prompts/4

      I really enjoyed it!

  7. I finally managed to go back and reply to all the wonderful reviews readers have left on my stories. (If I missed out on any, please let me know). It was quite overwhelming to read all the nice things you've said about my writing, and inspiring too.

    :thankyou:  with all my

  8. I just realized we celebrate the 'birthday' of our flag, Dannebrog, the day after U.S.A. have their Flag Day. Today is a special Valdemarsdag, since it's Dannebrog's 800th birthday (June 15th 1219-2019).

So I thought I'd post a few of my favorite SATW flag-related comics to mark the occasion.

      LMAO

He should have found shelter when lighting started. I've ridden through storms but rain is fine. When it's lightning I pull over and stop for a coffee or something.

  10. Aditus just told me the German word for Whitsun Monday is Pfingstmontag ! ROFL And I thought the Danish word Pinse and the English Whitsun were silly, but Pfingsten is even funnier. You'll have to use this in your story one day.

  11. Another 22 chapter comments, and I'll hit 6666. :2thumbs: With more antho stories and the last DDD chapter posting tomorrow, this should be achievable by the weekend. Maybe I should challenge myself to reach 66 story reviews at the same time.

  12. YAY, more Anthology stories just posted. :read:

  13. As promised the date chapter in DDD - the longest so far to make up for missing out last week. We hope you enjoy it.

  14. There will be no DDD chapter today as we need more time to work on the important first date. :P

  15. I'm going to post another Prompt chapter soon. This is the last one I have pre-uploaded, so you'll have to be patient while I get more written.
I've been told by a reader that they did not get a notification for my most recent posting of DDD chapter, which was also pre-uploaded. So I'm a little worried it could happen again. I didn't edit it before publishing, nor have I done so with this Prompt chapter.
I'd be grateful if you could tell me if you don't get a notification of a chapter posting, if you follow either story.

@northie thanks - the problem may be for readers who follow the story.

  16. It's Sunday here in Denmark. Should I post my next prompt chapter?  But most of Team Rob are asleep. Maybe I'll wait till the hungry birds start pecking me.

  17. I apologize once more for forgetting to post a Prompt chapter on Sunday. I was travelling home from vacation all day and was exhausted when I arrived.
I shall post the next chapter on Thursday instead of DDD chapter 10, which isn't done yet. @aditus and I have been too busy writing our Anthology stories.

Unexpectedly, I managed to get chapter 10 written and posted in time, with invaluable help from Valkyrie. Thankfully, the next one is up to my co-author.
This also means you'll get the prompt chapter on Sunday instead. Feel free to poke me, if I forget. @droughtquake has a supply of pitchforks you can borrow.

There you are again, letting life distract you from your real priorities: posting new chapters for your readers!
      ;–)

  18. Thank you for reading my Cardmaker story, I'm glad you seem to be enjoying it. I hope you're aware it isn't completed, and that new chapters will arrive very slowly.

I love your stories, you are an excellent writer and I'm truly enjoying what I've been reading.

  19. Bah, apparently you can't edit and publish a chapter at the same time without messing up, even if the chapter was NOT post-dated.

There's a new DDD chapter up, but it doesn't appear on the story update list on the main forum page.  I hope you find it anyway.

Or edit and save, and then publish the chapter afterwards.

Once you've saved (and not published) the initial posting, you can't then do anything to it until after posting. Or, at least, that's my experience.

I've been there too, its so bloody annoying. Though if we all post comments here then the word should quickly get out.

  20. It's fun when new readers start to binge read my prompt story. Glad you seem to like it so far. Only 60 more chapters to go. :gikkle:

  21. I can see you're having a binge read of my prompt story. Glad you like it so far. Only 60 more chapters to go. :lmao:

  22. Next DDD chapter is uploaded and ready to post tomorrow. Thank you to @Valkyrie for great suggestions and fun comments.  Chapter 4 comments have been replied to, so what else do I need to do? :unsure2: Oh, right, send chapter 6 to Val for editing.

I hope you'll read the side-stories about the A.I. team, while I try to get back to writing more on the main story. If you like the Angel and Imp tales and the cross-over with @aditus's Cupid Central, there's a new joint story we have just started posting.
