  1. You know I love your nature poems and even more so, your offerings about birds. Being amongst nature is the perfect excuse for bird watching. Or maybe, it's the other way around. ๐Ÿ˜‰ ๐Ÿ˜„ Your character studies are perfect. Not bothering about the precise this-and-thats, but rather capturing the essence and wonder of each bird. โค๏ธ
  2. Revisiting my earliest monologues after adding a new one, I'm astounded still at what I managed so early onย in my writing journey. 'Barred' in particular is a favourite. And it serves to remind us Pride is here for a reason.ย โœŠย ๐ŸŒˆ๐Ÿณ๏ธโ€๐ŸŒˆ

    Liam's story

Thank you! What a wonderfully affirming list of adjectives. Especially the 'impossibly romantic'. That coming from you, Gary, is a great compliment. I shall treasure it. ๐Ÿ˜˜

    Liam's story

Thank you! Some readers might not consider it a story as such but I love the freedom and challenges a monologue presents.

    Liam's story

Yeah, not a job for the fainthearted. Thanks for reading, Tim.

    Liam's story

Last thing at night, it's great to relax in bed and run through the good bits of the day. Don't you find that? Admittedly, the rewind can sometimes last half a minute, tops. Work days, for instance. When that bastard AI snoop on my laptop complains the day's click tally isn't large enough. Your recommended throughput is eighty clicks per minute. Eff off, you mouthy sod. Jeez โ€“ reminds me of Mum's non-stop nagging, only your own whines and excuses have no impact whatsoever. Can't risk ignoring the bastard thing though. It's like my kid sister. I'd ignore her sniping for as long as possible

Distance can mean many things. One man considers love, separation, and getting the day job out of his head.

    My garden again

More photos from my tiny, containerised garden. Studies of flowers mostly, sometimes insects.
  9. Anyone else looking to write a Pride short?ย ๐Ÿณ๏ธโ€๐ŸŒˆย  Should be fun (assuming I can keep myself to the word limit). ๐Ÿ™„ย If you don't know what I'm talking about, try this:

  10. Sounds fun. I've several ideas... now to choose one and hope it'll come in under 1k words. ๐Ÿคจ๐Ÿ˜„
  11. Interesting... tried to request access to the test club and nothing came up. I accepted the requirement and then... *shrugs* Clicked on the link again and got an error message saying I wasn't authorised to see the page it led to. I'm certainly available and interested in testing (always am).

Thanks for this article. I appreciate all thoughtful comments, even if sometimes they take a bit of swallowing. If you are never challenged as a writer, you will miss out on a very important source of self-improvement. If I find particular feedback difficult, I go away, do something else, then return, and acceptance is usually easier. Of course, you don't have to accept everything. Though if that becomes a habit with a beta-reader or editor, you might have to look for another individual to help you.
  13. Congratulations on another magnificent story, dear friend. I hope you too receive a standing ovation. Bravo!ย ย ๐Ÿฅฐ

  14. Hi Val. Just came across this image in a tweet.ย  Couldn't resist...ย ย ๐Ÿ˜‰ย ๐Ÿ˜„

      How'd you get a picture of me as a kid?ย  :unsure:ย :rofl:ย ย
