A little Halloween tale. Sam is looking for a job, will he find one?

Sometimes an unexpected Valentine can lead to more.

I am told this is a "Haibun" or "Quick Writing," as it is translated. It is a partial narrative, and partial poetic treatment of a very difficult journey I am even now completing.

Short stories are definitely not my strong suit, and this attempt soon became a continuous story inspired by the challenge of First Line prompts.
