This project came about due to a now defunct project. Authors were asked to pick a subject and write on it. The subject for this was a family get together.

What happens when two people meet, fall in love, and plan a wedding? The result can be the destruction of familial ties and be very funny, at least long after the fact. Take a glance and see if you have ever been to a bad wedding, or one like this.

A poem inspired by the anthology theme

Graham (28) goes to the Christmas Eve service to be with his husband John. He is alienated from his deeply religious family and detached from the warmth of the service. He identifies a kindred spirit teenage Theo and learns they have more in common than he thought as Theo is joined by Jesse. Graham leaves strengthened by the encounter.

Another true tale from one of my boys youth.

Tristan Rader and Gavin Munson met as four-year-olds and almost immediately became best friends. However, their time together ended the summer before fifth grade when Gavin’s father got a new job and his family moved away. As the pair grew older, their paths would cross and bring them together in unexpected ways, only to have fate intercede and cause them to lose contact yet again. Will the journey of life win in the end or will fate triumph? Only time will tell.

Scrooge becomes a religious zealot named Franklin Phelps. He has some troubling beliefs about gays and on Christmas Eve he first encounters the spirit of his former associate, Patsy Falwell, followed by three ghosts that attempt to help him redefine his position, but will they succeed?

Carissa has always enjoyed working with Fred. He was a good worker, a decent man, and took time to make people happy though he didn't like the limelight. Then the gifts began to appear for Fred and the poor man didn't know what to do. Carissa tries her best to help out her friend, but is she in on the gifts?
