Cyberpunk 2077 - Stories

Johnny's been on the road with Santiago's Aldecaldos for years. Upon their return to California, Johnny meets V, another nomad, who seems to have a strange ability to put him at ease. When Johnny returns to Night City, V decides to come with. Johnny wants to bring his band back together, and to do that there's one person he needs more than anybody else: Kerry Eurodyne. Kerry, who hasn't seen Johnny in six years and is really pissed.

This is a fanfic based on the tabletop RPG franchise Cyberpunk and the video game Cyberpunk 2077, but all you really need to know is the world has fallen to pieces and everything is owned by corporations.

‘You ever make out in the back of a police car before?’

Kerry scoffs. ‘Johnny, I’ve never been in the back of a police car before.’

‘Well, you wanna?’

‘I need to get this guy off my back and my boyfriend’s not here tonight.’

‘Oh.’ Kerry he decides to just roll with it and nods. ‘Well, okay.’

He plays for me, humming along with the melody. Waves break lazily against the side of the yacht as it moves along down the bay at a leisurely pace. I lean back in my seat and just watch him, listen to the sound of his voice. Always liked that voice. Always listened when it came up on the radio.
