April is National Poetry Writing Month, and this is my collection for 2021. The goal is to write 30 poems (one per day) throughout the month. The majority of poems are responses to prompts supplied by Jan Hutchinson. Since I turn fifty this year, a lot of them will feature remembrances, musings, and thoughts about the next fifty. A retrospective of my life.
I saw this "challenge" on Facebook, every day one word to use as a prompt for creative activities. Some of my friends paint, some draw, others compose. I chose to write. Where I live, France, has just been put back under lock-down for this month, so this will help pass the time
April is National Poetry Writing Month (NaPoWriMo), and the challenge is to write 30 poems (one per day) throughout the month. This year, I decided to do something a little different. Each day (or every other day, depending on my mood) I will write a 'postcard'--a short poem about my daily dealings with the COVID-19 pandemic. I will also write other poems as the mood (and daily prompts) strike me. I think it will be an interesting exercise to see how the poems change across the course of the month.
