The Kiss of the Vampire - 6. Chapter 6

Kiss of the Vampire

Dreams

The next evening, the moon hung heavy and full in the sky, casting a silvery glow over the manor. Vladimir, his demeanor calm and composed, gathered the family together in the grand hall. To him, they were not just comrades in battle—they were family. Each one held a special place in his heart, and he loved them deeply. They were his kin, his companions in the night, perfect and lovely in his eyes.

The flickering light of the candles danced off their faces, casting a warm glow that softened the harsh realities of their existence. As they stood around him, Vladimir’s gaze swept across each of them, taking in their strengths and unique qualities. He had taught them well, ensuring they were prepared for every situation. Their ability to mesmerize was a testament to his careful training, a skill honed to perfection.

"Tonight, we gather not just as warriors, but as family," Vladimir began, his voice carrying a tone of affection and resolve. "Each of you has shown incredible strength and loyalty. We face many threats, but together, we are unstoppable."

He moved among them, his presence both comforting and commanding. "You have learned to mesmerize, to charm, and to protect. These skills are vital, and I trust in your abilities completely. Leave nothing to chance. Our survival depends on our unity and our vigilance."

The family listened intently, their eyes reflecting their shared determination. They knew the dangers that awaited them, but they also knew the power they wielded together. Vladimir’s words were a reminder of their bond and their purpose.

As the night wore on, they shared stories and plans, reinforcing their commitment to one another. The sense of camaraderie and love was palpable, a stark contrast to the violence they often faced. In that moment, they were not just vampires—they were a family united by a common cause, bound together by their love for Vladimir and each other.

"Remember, you are not alone," Vladimir said, his voice softening. "We are family, and together we will overcome any obstacle."

The next night, with the moon hidden behind thick clouds, Vladimir called his family together once more. His eyes, sharp and intense, swept over the gathered faces. He knew the importance of expanding their numbers, of ensuring their strength grew with each passing night.

"We need to bolster our ranks," Vladimir began, his voice steady and commanding. "I want you to find six strong men. Mesmerize them and bring them back to me. I will make them one of us, and then you may have your way with them. This will bond them to us, and they will be as happy as I am. Now, go forth and bring me those men."

The vampires nodded, understanding the gravity of their mission. They spread out, moving silently into the night, their senses attuned to the presence of potential recruits. They moved through the town like shadows, their supernatural abilities allowing them to blend seamlessly into the darkness.

Constantin, always the most perceptive, spotted a group of laborers returning from a late shift at the docks. He approached them with a practiced smile, his eyes glowing with an unnatural charm. "Good evening, gentlemen," he purred, his voice soothing and hypnotic. The men, unable to resist his allure, followed him without question.

Thomas, meanwhile, found himself in a dimly lit tavern on the edge of town. He singled out a group of burly men engaged in a heated card game. With a few well-placed words and a mesmerizing gaze, he had them under his spell, leading them out into the night.

One by one, the vampires returned to the manor, each bringing a mesmerized man in tow. Vladimir watched with satisfaction as they gathered before him, their new recruits dazed and pliant. He approached each one, his eyes gleaming with a mix of anticipation and hunger.

"Welcome to your new family," Vladimir said, his voice a low whisper that sent shivers down their spines. "You will be transformed, and in return, you will know power and happiness beyond your wildest dreams."

With a swift motion, Vladimir began the process of turning each man, his fangs sinking into their necks with precision. The recruits, caught in the grip of his power, felt the cold embrace of the transformation. As the night wore on, each one emerged as a newly turned vampire, their old lives left behind.

The family gathered around their new members, welcoming them with open arms. The bond between them grew stronger, fortified by their shared experience and the promise of unity. Vladimir looked on with pride, knowing that their numbers had increased, and their strength bolstered.

"Together, we are unstoppable," Vladimir declared, his voice echoing through the hall. "We will face whatever challenges come our way, united and unbreakable."

As the dawn approached, the vampires retreated to the safety of their chambers, their new recruits in tow. The manor, once a place of refuge and beauty, now stood as a fortress of power and unity. The night had brought them new allies, and with each passing day, they grew ever stronger.

The next evening, a thunderstorm raged, lightning illuminating the night sky and turning it today for fleeting moments. Vladimir, ever the leader, decided it was time to impart a crucial lesson. He took Thomas to the roof, the storm's fury a fitting backdrop for what was to come.

"I have something to teach you," Vladimir began, his voice carrying over the howling wind. "All the creatures of the night are yours to command. Watch and learn."

His eyes turned a deep, blood-red, and with a commanding gaze, he summoned the bats. At first, only a few appeared, their wings flapping against the storm. But soon, their numbers grew exponentially, until millions of bats filled the sky, their eyes glowing red like Vladimir's. The sight was both awe-inspiring and terrifying.

Vladimir gave them their orders, his voice a low, resonant command that cut through the storm. The bats, obedient to his will, dispersed into the night, their mission clear. Once they were gone, Vladimir turned to Thomas, his expression softening.

He took Thomas in his arms, their bond evident in the way they held each other. The storm raged around them, but in that moment, they were the eye of the hurricane, calm and connected. Vladimir kissed Thomas, a gesture filled with love and reassurance.

"Remember this night," Vladimir whispered, his lips close to Thomas's ear. "You have the power to command, to protect, and to lead. Together, we are unstoppable."

Thomas nodded, his eyes reflecting the same determination and love. The storm continued to rage, but within their embrace, they found strength and solace. The night was theirs, and with each passing moment, their bond grew stronger.

As the storm began to wane, they descended from the roof, ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead. Vladimir's lesson had been learned, and Thomas knew that with Vladimir by his side, they could command the very forces of nature.

Thomas was so happy that he was learning so much from Vladimir and this was just another reason that he loved him so. He would do anything that Vladimir would ever ask him to do.

Thomas took Vladimirs hand and led him down to the coffin room and started removing Vladimirs clothes undoing his buttons kissing each bit of exposed flesh, Vladimir was moaning with the wonderous treatment he was receiving. Thomas went to his knees and pulled Vladimirs foreskin back and started sucking and licking which was driving Vladimir mad with desire for more. Thomas was going to fuck Vladimir and nothing in the world was going to stop him. As he entered him the ecstasy was unbelievable, he was a machine he pumped like mad which made Vladimir scream with pleasure. The other Vampires became worried and rush down to them only to find them fucking which set them off. They grabbed a partner and started pleasuring them. Thomas and Vladimir came at the same time, and so did the other vampires, they all were spent.

Vladimir had given Georgios a kiss as he headed out. I ventured from the cave to feed; it was getting late, and my usual routine involved feeding on three or four people before returning home. Tonight, the streets of Pylos beckoned, shrouded in the magic of ancient times.

Nestled in the southwestern corner of the Peloponnese, Pylos was a town of significant allure. Its position overlooking the deep blue waters of the Ionian Sea made it a bustling hub, a place where natural beauty intertwined with mythic grandeur.

Pylos was ensconced in rolling hills, blanketed in olive groves that whispered secrets of old under the caress of the Mediterranean breeze. The air was tinged with the scent of wild thyme and sea salt, creating an intoxicating blend. To the west, cliffs descended into the azure waves, creating a dramatic coastline that glowed under the moonlight—a perfect setting for nocturnal tales.

The streets of Pylos wound like serpents, narrow and cobblestoned, leading to the heart of the town. Houses built from limestone, their walls adorned with creeping ivy, seemed almost timeless under the ancient sky. Each door and window could be a portal to another era, concealing countless stories within.

By day, the harbor bustled with activity. Fishermen cast their nets, and traders haggled over exotic goods. But as dusk fell, a different air settled over the docks. The silhouettes of ships rocked gently against the horizon, and the waters reflected the blood-red hues of the setting sun. Here, whispers of old legends filled the air, tales of sea creatures and ancient mariners.

I walked these winding streets, my senses heightened in the evening's embrace. Shadows stretched long, and the quiet murmur of the town's residents faded into the night. My hunger was a persistent companion, driving me forward with each step.

As I moved through the labyrinthine alleys, I listened for the heartbeat of potential prey. The olive groves rustled softly, as if nature itself were aware of my presence. The houses, with their ivy-clad walls, seemed to watch with ancient eyes.

At the harbor, the scene was transformed. The once lively docks were now bathed in the serene glow of the moonlight. The sea breeze carried the faint scent of salt and the echo of distant waves. I spotted a solitary figure, a fisherman perhaps, lingering by his boat. His blood would be warm and rich, a feast to sate my hunger.

With stealth and grace, I approached, my movements fluid and silent. The man turned, but too late to react. My fangs found their mark, and as life drained from him, I felt a surge of vitality. The night's hunt had begun.

As I fed, the town of Pylos stood as a silent witness. Its ancient beauty and timeless secrets enveloped me, a fitting backdrop for my dark existence. With each victim, my strength grew, and the allure of the night deepened.

Once I had satisfied my hunger, I would return to the cave, to Georgios and the safety of our sanctuary. But for now, Pylos was my hunting ground, a place where the past and present coalesced in a dance of shadows and light. I returned to the cave I could not believe my eyes the cave had collapsed. The once secure sanctuary that Georgios and had called home now lay in ruins, its stone walls crushed under the weight of centuries. With the collapse of their refuge, the night had become more perilous. The familiar comfort of the cave's embrace was replaced by a sense of urgency and vulnerability.

I started screaming for Georgios and I heard nothing, not a word or any sound. I pulled the Bolders from the cave throwing them out of the way. It was hours even with my supernatural strength to remove enough of them to at last find Georgios crush body I wept tears of blood that run down my face staining my cheeks.

I buried Georgios outside the cave in the soft ground. I wept as I threw dirt into his beautiful face, and I knew that I would never be the same again! The next night I had to leave I just could not stay here any longer but before I left, I placed my hand on the grave and said, “I will always miss you, my love.”

Vladimir and Thomas woke up in the dim, dying light. The room was heavy with the silence of the early evening, broken only by the faint rustle of the wind outside. Thomas turned to Vladimir, his eyes widening in alarm as he saw something he had never seen before – Vladimir was sweating blood.

“Are you all right, Vladimir? You are sweating blood!” Thomas exclaimed, his voice tinged with shock and concern.

Vladimir, still coming out of the remnants of his nightmare, took a shaky breath. “I had a bad dream,” he said, his voice trembling. “It still haunts me, Thomas. It is about someone I once loved deeply. He died in a terrible way...crushed to death. Just talking about it...,” his voice faltered as blood-tinged tears began to roll down his pale cheeks.

Thomas, filled with empathy and sorrow, reached out and pulled Vladimir into his arms. He kissed him gently, trying to offer comfort. “Vladimir, I am so sorry you have these dreams and how they affect you so.”

Sometimes the past just won’t let go, no matter how hard I try,” he whispered. “The nightmares feel so real, as if I’m living through that torment all over again.”

Thomas held Vladimir tighter, his fingers gently stroking his hair. “You do not have to go through this alone, Vladimir. We will face it together. We will find a way to heal.”

As the first stars came out began to pierce through the curtains, Thomas felt a steely resolve form within him. He would do everything in his power to help Vladimir confront and conquer his inner demons. Their bond, forged in the trials of the supernatural world, would be their greatest strength.

For Vladimir, the love and support of Thomas were like a lifeline. As the blood tears continued to fall, he drew strength from the embrace, knowing that with Thomas by his side, he could face whatever horrors his dreams threw at him.

Together, they would navigate the darkness, finding light in each other amidst the shadows of their haunted pasts.

Thomas took Vladimir by the hand, his grip firm yet gentle, and led him towards the grand marble bathroom. The room was dimly lit, with candles flickering and casting dancing shadows on the walls, creating an atmosphere both serene and eerie. As they entered, the scent of lavender and eucalyptus filled the air, a stark contrast to the metallic tang of blood that lingered on Vladimir’s skin.

Thomas turned to the door and gave a subtle nod, signaling to Constantin, who stood at the entrance. “Bring us clean clothes to the upstairs bathroom,” Thomas instructed. Constantin, ever the loyal servant, bowed slightly and disappeared to fulfill the request.

Two things a vampire always loved were blood and a warm bath. The latter was a rare luxury that Thomas was determined to provide for Vladimir in this moment of distress. The sight of Vladimir, still shaken from his nightmare, tore at Thomas’s heart. He knew that sometimes a simple act of care could be the most powerful remedy.

As Thomas drew the bath, the room filled with steam, curling and swirling around them like ghostly tendrils. He added a generous number of scented oils, their fragrance wafting through the air, blending with the steam to create a soothing oasis. The water began to shimmer under the candlelight, inviting and warm.

Vladimir stood silently by the edge of the tub, watching Thomas with eyes that held centuries of pain and a glimmer of hope. Thomas approached him, gently unbuttoning Vladimir’s shirt, careful not to startle him. “Let me take care of you,” he whispered, his voice soft and comforting.

Vladimir nodded, his guard slowly lowering in the presence of Thomas’s unwavering kindness. As he stepped into the bath, the hot water enveloped him, easing the tension in his muscles and washing away the remnants of blood on his skin. He closed his eyes, allowing the warmth to penetrate his cold, immortal body.

Thomas sat beside the tub, his fingers brushing through Vladimir’s hair, offering silent support. “You’re safe here,” he murmured. “No more nightmares. Just us and this moment.”

For the first time in what felt like an eternity, Vladimir felt a sense of peace. The horrors of his past seemed to fade, if only for a brief while. In that steamy sanctuary, with Thomas by his side, he found solace.

When Constantin returned with the clean clothes, he placed them on a chair and left quietly, respecting their privacy. Thomas smiled at Vladimir, a promise of better days ahead reflected in his eyes. They were bound by more than just the curse of immortality; they were bound by love, trust, and the shared hope of a future free from the shadows of their past.

The group is becoming stronger but so much larger.  More vampires to feed, more keep hidden, does this make it harder to keep themselves from being discovered.

I am surprised that the Brotherhood has not made another move against them.

Which animals of the night can they control?  Is there any limit to that control?

unfortunately, the Order of the Blade knows where they are! Wolfs, Bats and Rats!

I wonder what the bats' mission was. Vlad has had a lonely life filled with personal tragedy, but he has found peace... for the moment. I'm sure the Brotherhood is coming. Another great chapter, Albert. Cheers!
