Backwoods Boy can take something as simple as a thousand words and turn it into something wonderful. Once again with one of his short stories, he does just that. This and all his other works should be on anyone's reading list if they're looking for something to smile about.

Response from the author:

Thanks for your kind words, Wolf.  I appreciate your encouragement.

Proof that big things can come in small packages.  Immediately we are drawn into the world of the visiting preacher man with some great observations from the main character.  So much is packed in with humour and style.   Bravo

Response from the author:

Thanks very much, Gary.  I appreciate your review and encouragement.

Backwoods Boy is a master at writing interesting and fun short stories.  This story is a brief historical reveal of a teen boy in a small town. It has humour, innocence of youth and a bit of sexual exploration that left me grinning.

Response from the author:

Thanks for your review and comments, Terry.  I did have fun writing this one :)

I enjoyed this short story.  Sometimes what seems to be one set of actions can actually represent another.  This was a fun short,   While it could have been slightly longer, it adequately covers the short period of time involved.  I can recommend this happily.

Response from the author:

Thanks for your review, Reader Paul, and your ongoing support.

I normally give Backwoods  Boy 5 out of 5. The story was too short. Details could have been added. Previously I would send my appreciation to him by personal eMail; including a suggestive illustration. Actually he is one of the better authors posting on the internet.

Response from the author:

Thank you for your support as well as your constructive criticism, which is always helpful.  Oh, and thanks also for your most recent "suggestive illustration". ;)
