Bloom Sanitaria Springs

Hunter has plans and reasons. Get the hell out of Park Terrace, power through college to get to New York City where he can be himself - because there is nothing and no one to tie him down, unless you could coming back to visit the parents. New York City would bring the romance he loves so much, maybe even one of those 'hate them at first sight and grudgingly learn to love them' type stories.

No. Those are too much work.

If you are familiar with this authors stories then this one has all the elements which makes this author great if your not familiar then read my or any other readers reviews in previous stories. There is one thing different about this story in most of this authors previous stories   the protagonist is very likable and the readers as a result like and root for him this story not so much. While I didn't dislike  Hunter(the protagonist) I wasn't that fond of him at first and others readers expressed that in chapter comments.Slowly but surely you get to know why Hunter is like the way he is after coming off a very one-sided relationship it effected how he interacted with people.Despite this there was someone who had an eye on Hunter unbeknownst to him this interaction between the two along with others observing this helps Hunter identify what he's been doing wrong and ever so slowly he changes. There was a reader early in the story who said he didn't like how shallow Hunter was and he said he was going to stop reading the story I suspect by the number of reactions in the beginning other readers felt the same way but I say to them with all due respect have faith in one of our favorite authors others did and he came through again. Now if he starts a story where the protagonist is a serial killer I don't know how I would react to that but I doubt we have to worry about that. For those who may have stopped reading the story go back and finish it your missing out

It's a bit different than Dabeagle's other stories in the sense that the conflict and struggle are a bit different and probably more internal to the protagonists.

Hunter, a talented but somewhat vain boy is figuring out what he wants from a pseudo-relationship. He is perceived as shallow and materialistic and craves adulation of the masses. Then an incident at a party brings him into the orbit of his classmate Caleb, whose nonchalance about his own appearance finally is getting in the way of him getting noticed by his love interest. But perceptions are wrong. There is always more to these two boys than meets the eye. And once they see for themselves who they are, they bloom.

This is another great work by this author. This story is worth the read as it takes the reader on a ride with a few curves and slowly builds the characters into ones you love. This story will make you think about how lives can be affected by actions and events we all can take for granted or simply say "get over it and move on". Other lives affected by conditions they were born with that effect self perception. The beginning is a bit rough, but give it a chance, you will be glad you did.

A lovely story. Two guys, neither all that likable or interesting to start with grow up to learn what is important. It helps that both have incredibly supportive and loving families.
