Isn’t that how it works out. He could have just said to Andrew I already had an invite to the rec center, but no, a story about fences.  Sounds like what he is doing is building a fence for real, between him and Andrew.  Honesty is always the best policy. Guess he has that lesson to learn yet.

Unfortunately, it is. It seems easier for most in the digital more so now than twenty-years-ago; to deceive people. Instead of being honest, it is a new thing to make excuses. Glad you saw the ironic statement in the piece about building a fence, but in fact, for real he's contemplating it.

I suppose so... though I think we have all been guilty of this. For instance, most people who bump into folks you down want to talk to in your community the first excuse most conjure up is, "I'm sorry I can't talk, I'm in a hurry." Lies Lies Lies, humans excel in that... that and cruelty lol.
