His lie caught up to him quite quickly.😂
I wonder what August truly thinks about Andrew...

Otherwise, beautiful chapter.❤️

I had this thought when I was reading along today. To read a persons thoughts it takes some time, in reality the thought process is but a second or two, maybe even a split second. Jacob has to learn real quick that honesty is the only way. It is one thing to withhold a truthful comment because it would also be a hurtful of harming statement but beyond that a person has to be honest. I could see Jacob digging himself into a bigger and bigger hole. Glad he finally graded up, though again it was only partial. Now it will be interesting to see what he does with Auggie gay comment. We are an interesting breed. Deep inside we know who we are and what makes us happy, yet we will choose an unhappy path, just because we don’t want to admit what makes us happy.  If you have people in your life who don’t like gays, but you know you are most happy around gay people then it is my opinion to purge your self of the hateful people and be happy.  A gay friend posted on Facebook recently a statement that went something like this, If a person is not adding value to your life then their absence will have no ill effect.  I had a friend for over 30 years who constantly brought bad feelings. I finally walked away from the “friend”.  Life, my mental attitude, has been so much better.

It sure did, it appears that Jacob is not a good liar. Perhaps in the future, he will be more willing to be truthful. I do wonder what August has to say myself, even I don't know at this rate lol. Thanks for the comment, I am glad you enjoyed the chapter. I hope you stick around for more :)

Yeah in writing the thought process is a little longer than you think when you lay it out and read of it because we usually flash by and make our minds up in less than a second. I agree, the truth is always served best when the nature of the situation presents itself if it was a harder circumstance id try to break it gently, but if it was a volatile situation id break it harshly, that is me in an essence. I'd rather someone to be flat our honest than swaying with me. I have obligations tell me if I am tired of looking at you but love your company I'll simply say, "I'll think I'll have some downtime." You know what I mean. I guess Jacob is digging himself a hole with each action he chooses, I suppose he is conflicted about being right and being wrong, but I suppose if he has high aspirations, and the idea of being gay does not fight in with said aspiration then its going to be a rough journey for Jacob and most around him. I am still figuring our Auggie myself, I decided to call his best friend August, and I love the warmness the name has, and I admire the book wonder so I decided to call his best friend Auggie. Humans are always like that, inevitably we say we prefer the easy route, but somehow we always are programmed to take the hard road. It is good to hear that you washed out the negativity in your life, as they say, god I can't even say that phrase properly anymore lol. If you are surrounded with negativity, you will become it. A while back I had a friend who went behind my back, when I was fourteen, I confronted him about it, it came down to jealousy, I forgave him because that is the sort of person I am, holding grudges is not healthy for the mind, but nonetheless I moved one, made new friends and learned a lesson.
