An ancient civilization terraformed Earth. The civilization is long gone, but the ancient knowledge is secretly passed on from generation to generation. In 1590, George Hunter, initiated by Master Edward, becomes one of the twelve guardians who form the grand council. George flees England in company of Jonathan Britten. They are lured into a trap. A man has disappeared, a precious object was stolen, and George and Jonathan are chased. The ancient knowledge is about to be misused.
