The Rover's Return is a short vignette that starts a series of vignettes.  It is a tale of a lonely man who starts to write a story after finding a dog.  This is a  very short, but sweet beginning.  The author, Ivor Slipper, is a very respected author and his stories are well written with well engaging characters.  This and the following vignettes/chapters create a wonderful tale of love and renewal.
