Avery Winters: Father of Daniel Winters. Part of the Double Dozen. Ventured into Maze and did not return for several centuries. Died destroying the Eye

 

 

Christopher: Prostitute, Dreams of traveling on the Nautilus

 

 

Clive Halcyon: Son of Prelate Varrus Halcyon. Knew Daniel’s father and was for a short period his lover when they were both prisoners on Ares.

 

 

Big Man: A giant with blue skin he is the leader of the criminal side of the Mega-Corps.

 

 

Daniel Winters: Scion of Brutus: Never accepted the loss of his father when Azrael meteor struck. Adopted by Karl. In love with Andrew. Able to see possible future in his dreams.

Hayes Grey: Telepath, Son of Scott and Thomas Grey. Ran away from over controlling father. Big Man’s chief Legal Counsel

 

 

Jack Argot: Scion of Jacob: Imprisoned at NET’s main research complex, was very close to Daniel Winters father, Avery and was present when Avery surrendered his life to save mankind from the Sybiotes.

 

Julian Lordon: High Priest of the Church of the Awakening. Led followers of the God Emperor to betray his children. Believes he can force his god to awaken through the suffering of the Emperor’s children and all mankind.

 

 

Jason Argot: God Emperor. Father of the Seven Scions. Would rather remain in the Dreaming forever than face the future his absence has caused.

 

 

Karl Labatt: Neo Sapiens: Father of Andrew Labatt. Was Avery Winters’s best friend in high school. Founded Labatt industries. Has himself cloned every few decades to continue his work.

Talon/ Samuel: The vengeful former Bionoid lover of Travis Everett Walker who has sworn to make every surviving member of the Winters family pay the price for betraying him

 

 

Tara Winters: Daniel Winter’s mother. She had accused Avery Winters, who was her first husband and Daniel’s father of cheating on her with another man. While her husband was more gay than straight she knew he had never cheating on her. She only wished to destroy his political career. In a custody battle between her and Dr. Labatt, she lost most of the fortune Avery had left her. She won custody of her son but made a life-long enemy of Billionaire Karl Labatt. After Labatt makes it his mission to destroy her second husband’s firm, her husband, Greg, abandons her to live with his male lover

 

 

Thad Labatt: Former military officer. Father of Karl Labatt, and Grandfather of Andrew Labatt. As a result of a failed attempt to rescue Harry Winters from Travis Walker he was made part of the Neo Sapiens program

 

 

Thomas Grey: Telepath Neo Sapiens telepath. Praetor leader of NET. Father of the Scions Brutus and Albert. Believes Brutus left no heirs. Lover of Scott

 

 

Travis Walker I: The Demonic Travis Walker leader of the Ares’ Nano Swarms. Was the former lover of Harry Winters, Daniel’s grandfather. Has sworn to force Harry Winters to return to him as well as all the other members of the Winters’ bloodline. To achieve his goal he is using Harry’s Bionoid clone, Talon as his agent on Earth to prepare mankind for their eventual downfall.

 

 

Travis Everett Walker II: Son of the Demon Walker Was madly in love with Avery Winters only to be abandoned by him. Controls the Colonial Martian government from the shadows as well as half the solar system’s supply of Blue.

 

 

Varrus Halcyon: Prelate of the Neo Sapiens Church of the Awakening, Betrayed the God Emperor. Father of Clive. Was once a member of the Guardian Council but after betraying the Scions during World War II was labeled a traitor. He was once the most beautiful man in the world but after being attack by Jacob Argot was left terribly scarred. Ever since then he has lived in fear that Jacob would come back to finish the job of killing him.

Ares: Home world of the Neo Sapiens. Was destroyed when its moon collided with the planet. Its remains are known as the Maze

 

Arks: There are 14 Arcology Mega Cities spread throughout most of the Northern Hemisphere. Ark #14 is the sole exception. Consisting of most of the Western Falklands Island, it is the smallest and serves as Central H.Q. for NET

 

The Azrael Meteor: A fragment from the Neo Sapiens home world of Ares it struck Earth near the western coast of Alaska. It is the source of the Nano Plague on Earth.

 

Blue: The sole known treatment for the Nano Plague. Production controlled by the Neo Sapiens. Accelerates healing and strengthens the body. Often triggers a sexual response.

CEMS: Initials stand for Central Environment Management System. As the most advanced AI in existence she manages the complex systems of the Arks. Her prime directive is to preserve all life.

 

Centurions: One of the precursor races of the Neo Sapiens.

 

Church of the Awakening: The official religion of those allied with the Neo Sapiens its main principle focuses on the return of the Neo Sapiens God Emperor, even if it means the use of force. Led by the High Priest Julian and Prelate Varrus

 

Core: The living source of the drugs Blue, White and Red

 

Directorship: Made up of the nine largest Mega-Corps this quasi-government authority controls the global economies on Mars and Earth

 

Dominus: Super intelligent monstrosities who thought to enslave all the people of Ares. When they failed they sent Ares moon crashing into the planet. In the Maze they are known as Personas. They have sworn to have their revenge against the God Emperor. They are the most hated of the Three Blood Enemies of the people of Ares.

 

Dreaming: A sleeping alternate reality run by a gestalt of the tens of thousands still in hibernation from the Exodus.

 

EDF: Earth Defense Forces: A US and SRE joint force its charter requires

 

The Exodus: The four thousand period that took the Neo Sapiens to travel form Ares to Earth

 

The Guardian Council: Once much larger, the Guardian Council was entrusted with seeing to the welfare of the God Emperor’s Scions. Many however have betrayed and left the council. At present the Council is led by the Prime Judicar

 

The Guardians: Made up of the God Emperor’s most trusted followers they were entrusted with seeing to the welfare of the God Emperor’s children until their god returned. After 6 thousand years of waiting most have given up hope that the God Emperor will ever return. As a result many have left the council to follow their own ambitions. Chief among the traitors is Julian Lordon

 

Gold: A legendary substance akin to the drug Blue. Rumors of its virtues have never been proved. Only two people are believed to have access to it, NET’s Praetor Thomas Grey and Arch Prelate Julian Lordon of the Church of the Awakening

 

Grey: Telepathic hermaphrodites capable sexual and asexual reproduction. All Greys are required to join NET. Greys can be identified by their red hair.

 

Gravity Drives: The result of Neo Sapiens research it can create positive and negative gravity fields. The most powerful are capable of creating gravity jump gates

 

Gravity Jump Gates: A fold in space that allows instant transportation. It has a range of 12 Parsec. The first to be discovered were found at the Eye and Relic Arcologies.

 

Legatio: One of the two precursor race of the Neo Sapiens. A Legatio can be identified by their acute hemophilia

 

The Maze: Consisting of the shattered remains of Ares, it is on a direct course for Earth. Has been reached in the past via gravity jump gates. It is the source of the Nano Plague

 

MDF: The Martian Defense Force: The militia army of the Mars colony. While its ground forces are weak, its space navy is an equal match to those in the EDF

 

Mordel: The legendary city where it is believed the God Emperor can be found

 

Neo Sapiens: A race of men of alien origins that has lived among Homo Sapiens for over five thousand years. Controlling of global Blue supplies has made them the most powerful political force on Earth

 

Nano Plague: Arriving with the fall of the Azrael Meteor, the dieses triggers violent mutations in the infected. The vector of the plague has yet to be discovered but can be passed through bodily fluids.

NET: Known both as

 

Nano Extermination Taskforce. Their main objective is to hunt down and eliminate Nano Sleeper hiding in the general population.

 

Neo Exam Test: Design to find unregistered Neos in the general population. The test is taken three times at ages 14, 18, and 21. The testing is controlled by the Nano Extermination Taskforce.

 

Nosferatu: Nano infected vampires led by Dmitri and Ivan. One of the Three Blood Enemies of the people of Ares

 

NSP: The Neo Sapiens Party is a neo-fascist political movement which aims to replace all Homo Sapiens governments in the solar system

 

Primes: Once known as the Animani. There are pure Albinos with white eyes. They are known as the best medics and doctors on Earth and the space colonies. Most are used as slaves by the NSP

 

Red: Similar to the drug Blue, it extends a person’s normal lifespan. Only the elite of the elite are given access.

 

Scions: the descendants of the Seven Sons of the God Emperor.

Segundo: Offspring of the Primes

 

Sino-Russian Empire: (SRE) With every little access to the warmer southern hemisphere the SRE was formed between China and Russia to increase their chance of survival. Due to the Anti-Neo tone of the imperial government Lordon and Walker Industries have banned all exports of the Blue drug. In response the Empire resorts to human engineering and cloning. The result is the creation of a new race known as Bionoids. Its four Arks are among the largest.

 

Sleepers: Those infected with the Nano Virus but have shown no sign of mutation. The risk of the Sleeper from infecting others resulted in the separation of the sexes everywhere outside the Ark Arcologies.

 

Swarms: Mass grouping of Nano infected mutants. Swarms made of a single Nano-Type are most common type. Those consisting of multiply type are always led by a Hive Queen or a Demonic.

 

Symbiotes: A parasitic lamprey like creature. It is able to control the mind of its host. It is one of the Three Blood Enemies. The first of them were the result of Jason being raped by the Dominus. They are also known as Omega as they were the last of Jason’s children to be born on Ares.

 

The Three Blood Enemies: They are three creatures the God Emperor commanded must be destroyed.

The Togo: One of the many people of Ares who took part in the Great Exodus to Earth. They see homosexuality as a sin as well as the intermingling of their blood with other races. They built the colony ship Atlantis as well as the many underground Arks that still exist. It is believed they became extinct due to their refusal to marry among the human who were already on Earth when the people of Ares arrived. This left them susceptible to the native diseases found on Earth as their offspring never gain the disease immunity all native humans had already developed. After a few generations the last of them died out on the Falkland Islands five thousand years ago.

 

 

United Domains: The (U.D.) is the successor state of the United States and the European Union. It is one of two of the major remaining nations. Dominated by Neo Sapiens officials

 

Watchers: The remains of dead Neo Sapiens with unbroken Cores. Made up of living energy they are able to take on physical form for short periods of time

 

White: The drug White is famous for its healing properties. Though Far more available than Blue, it is still under the control of members of the NSP.

2001: Walker Industries becomes world’s largest illegal weapons manufacture.

2002: Walker Industries is declared a terrorist organization

2003 Lordon discovers alien mind controlling life-form and begins mass cloning

2005: Walker discovers the Relic alien artifact beneath Antarctica’s Mt. Vinson

2008: Lordon and Walker begin independent human genetic programs

2009: Relic is reactivated. Gateway between Earth and the Maze is formed

2010: Harry Winters and Travis Walker are born in breeding program

2017: Lordon begins experimental implantation of new life-form on Big Rock pop.

2028: Travis Walker kills his parents. Takes control of Relic compound.

2034: Winters leads a revolt against Travis and traps him inside the Maze. Moves to Big Rock

2035: Avery Winters is born

2459: New drug, “Blue” discovered. Limits effects of plague

2459: Guardian monopoly of the Blue supply gives them control of remaining governments
