Jesse went up into the mountain to retreat from everything, which is why the last thing he was expecting was to see his best friends cousin show up at the door, needing a safe haven too. Will he be able to conquer the fears that sent him running, or will his attempt to leave the mountain cost him his life?

How does someone become so closed of thickness and stupid like Jesse? It's 8snt bus nature I think. I think between his parents eventually rejecting his music and Troys obvious nasty, physical,mental and verbal abuse he has no idea how to deal with himself, his needs and others anymore, plus be just doesn't care anymore. He needs to trust Tyler but his ability to trust is so shot to pieces by what everyone around have or haven't done that he won't even listen to common sense arguments or plea's from Ryker. 

    I suspect it won't be long and he will be in serious trouble and will need serious rescuing from Ryker. This maybe be the only way for Ryker to get through to Jesse here and he is more than a friend if only Jesse would open bundled up and let Ryker in where he so would love to be.

This is the one thing that really irks me about the site. An author starts publishing a story and we get really drawn in to it, then suddenly, after a dozen or so chapters, the story is 'temporarily on hold' . Then one or two years down the line, the story is removed from the site because t has been published somewhere else and we remain in limbo.  While I realise there are financial and copyright concerns, is it so difficult to complete the story, even if somewhat prematurely instead of just marginalising us and removing it without an ending.

Unfortunately, not all of us can spare the cash to buy the completed work from the new publishers.

Here I want to thank @lomax61. Brian has had some of this stories picked up for mainstream publishing. But in every case, he has brought the story to a satisfactory end, before removing it from the site. 

I fully understand that some stories remain incomplete, sadly due to the author passing on. But after a year or two, excuses like 'mental state of mind' and others, IMHO,  are just that! Excuses! Or am I being too harsh. I know my writings are cathartic and the thrill I get from seeing the number of views and receiving comments and reactions is incredibly uplifting and encouraging.

Come on guys. While I fully realise there are financial considerations involved, play fair!
