Matt Donovan realizes that his relationship with Charlie isn't the secret he thought it was. Others within in his small fishing community are opening their eyes to his reality, including his one true crush, the outspoken, gruff-around-the-edges Jake Kowalczyk, who himself begins to discover that his feelings for Matt go beyond a platonic friendship after Matt almost dies.

Bullets and Butterflies is very well-written, compelling and pulls you into the whirlpool that is Matt's life. There is much going on here that is hinted at and slaps you in the face. You will not be sorry reading this excellent piece of storytelling.

Brilliant. Prepare to be drawn in right away: some mysteries surface here, some surprises, and a couple of shocks too.

 

If you are like me, you'll worry for Matt, for he seems to awake in a situation spelling danger for both his health and safety. You'll want more.
