If you don't like reading about sex, especially between men, don't read this story.

Some real-life people and institutions are included in this story for historical context.  This story is fictional.  These people probably did not do the things I have them do.

Poor old Zach. Isolating himself is easier in the shortterm but will be an issue in the longer term.

I couldn’t trust many people, so I only trusted one

Zach's comments about being jealous of Will and his freedom to be who he really rings true. The claustrophobic life that Zach is being funneled into will be tough. To deny who he is so that he can do what he loves is a difficult road.

Will's fun on the side (Devon and co) is part of the the agreed cover for Zach. Great fun for Will, no doubt at all, but also there to help Zach. I'm glad he isn't getting too freaked out about this.

Brad and Cam could be an interesting couple but the Matt issue needs to be fixed first. I'm glad Cam is heading to Boston - this will be resolved one way or the other. And it was good to see Brad say that if their relationship is a problem for Matt, it would be a significant issue. Putting Matt's feelings front and centre does something to redeem Brads actions with Wade. Brad needs to make sure he vocalises his concern for Matt when they get to Boston.

Having a Will-type of friend who comes from a mighty family as well, I can say that even wealthy spoiled kids do grow up and mature over a decade or two. I've known a 16-year-old once, who would react the same as Will in many situations, like swinging his daddy's credit card every time he felt pushed into corner.

But twenty years later I see a great, handsome guy now, who's turned from d*** to DILF, with husband, kids and home to prove. I know Will will get there one day and the tantrums will be just a funny memory.

As for JJ... oh, boy, it was time to see him mellow. But if Alex messes up, we'll go Henry VIII on him. ;)

I think Will matured too quickly for his age, but not as quickly as he thought he did. We see him move forward in fits and starts, which is my experience. It's not a smooth, painless process. :-(

On the review of Chapter 35 when Zach reminds us of the scene with J.P. decades earlier...isn't that the first Hayes boy, Jeff? The sad one who couldn't cope in the end, also the football star and sad drug addict....It seems like the two families have had a tormented relationship for decades, with Frank being the only other ray of hope besides Zach. I don't count Gathan because he was a piece of work who saw no problem raping Zach as a teen.

I can't figure out how to edit a review. The word "should" was meant to be "showed" but auto-correct got in the way somehow.

You can't edit reviews. It's a problem, one that GA is trying to fix in the next software release.
