Vicar’s son, Henry Robert Atwood, has been landed in a public school in Shropshire and hates every moment of it, especially compulsory sports.  But he attracts the attention of two boys, who between them will change his life for ever.  One, Ed Cornish, is every gay boy’s dream.  The other - another vicar’s son, Jehoiadah, handsome, seductive and, unfortunately, dead - is every boy’s nightmare.

What a wonderful story, with so many interwoven threads; teenage love, a ghost story with a mystery intertwined and foreign escapades with an amazingly varied cast of characters. This is one to re-read and savour a second time around.

A wonderfully warm story that contains a wonderfully warm family, fascinating characters - both youth and adult, and very intriguing situations.  It is a rewarding read.

Our introduction to Henry Atwood is the beginning of many great stories by a great author. I’m sure you will fall in love with Henry like so many others.

This story I’ve come back to read over and over again!

I have read all the stories by Mike Arram, including this one. Without a doubt, Mike is one the very best writers on the internet. I found myself binge reading with every new story about Henry and those around him. I highly recommend each and every story about Henry and his friends.

Mike will take you on a ride from England to a fictional city in the heart of Europe filled with hope in a world full of evil. Mike gets a 5 star from me and I bet you will give him one as well after reading these series of stories brilliantly written by Mike Arram!

Another excellent story. The supernatural elements are brought in nicely without overburdening the teenage love story, like a New Years Eve or summer campfire story within a longer tale
