If the last time you read poetry it was dry and pretentious,  so now you "don't do poetry"  then this is the spot for you. The poems of tim, Mikiesboy, are  the antidote you need.

Unlike those dusty, dry things we all had to read in school, these poems deal with things we're all familiar with, delivered in a way that goes right to the heart.  tim has a gift, he uses poetry to make sense of his/our world.  From the capriciousness of Spring, to the sadness of a tragedy.   This particular collection contains verses that deal with pain, death, love and pizza! Yes, you read that right, there is an Ode to Pizza in this collection. (and it made me want a large supreme!)

One of the beautiful things about tim's work is that it means something different things to different people, and he loves that! he even mentions that in comments to the final poem in this NaPoWriMo offering.

Do yourself a favor, click on it, go ahead. i think you'll like what you read.

Some excellent poetry. Serious, funny, deep, romantic, tim has written some incredible pieces here and also in his other active poetry folder, Bits and Pieces.  National Poetry Writing Month is a poem a day for 30 days. A lot of dedication and hard work.  You say, oh I don't like poetry, well, try some on for size. The more you read, the more you will see and understand. And as tim tells people often, there is no right or wrong way to think or read poetry but let your brain mull it over, and then you'll see. Congratulations tim.
