Terpsichore Behind the Mask

This is a series of once and future dances, echoes and dreams from the long, discontented solitude enforced by the pandemic. I dedicate it to a man whose friendship and fire have burned constant through this everlasting night.

p style="margin-bottom:0in;line-height:12pt;"> I’m grateful to @assamvav and @AC Benus for their help in editing and arranging these. For those who need the caution, these poems are frankly erotic. Errors of any kind are my own.

Deeply, achingly personal though they are, these poems are also universal. They celebrate the dances of two human bodies, two souls, two lovers who wish always to make the physicality of their desires real.

The poems are a masterclass in erotic writing. Without ever engaging an internet blocking filter, the deep and lasting heat of desire and the joining of bodies is portrayed with a loving intimacy.

Love is love. In the heart, in the soul, and in the celebration of two kindred spirits coming together.

Response from the author:

Love is indeed love, and while some may sputter and screech and try to silence its song, love’s dance cannot be denied. Thank you for your kind words.

If you are fortunate to have loved or been loved deeply, wholly, completely, and absolutely or merely recognize the intimate power of two people joining, each of these selections gives physical presence and a voice to the experience. Lucky is the man who is loved by this author.

Response from the author:

I hope these love dances remain in your memory. I’m very grateful you enjoyed them.
